the trick for locating bolster pin?

i have tryed everything even a magnifying glass i just can not seem to locate the bolster pin. i just do not want to take a punch and start beating the piss out of the bolster trying to find the pin. come on now you veterans whats the trick??

It is a simple thing to do. Just get some mustard and rub some on the that area and wait a second and you will see the pin. Have a great day. --------------:thumbup:

well i tryed mustard with no luck these are brass bolsters if that makes any difference?

try polishing the brass, maybe they used a slightly different colored pin that would show up when cleaned and polished.

With brass, open up a container of ammonia and set the knife above it.
