The truth about our shipments to dealers

Bad business... making us wait.. to the exchange!

Ok, to be serious.. it is to be expected, especially with a smaller company and right after SHOT.

Uh...I think you missed the point of this whole thread.

I've also been looking for an ESEE-5P and have been told that they are on back-order from more than 1 dealer.

I've had to shop around, since some dealers are out of some models, but I just ordered a 4S-MB and a 6P-OD and they came (from two different dealers) in about 3 days.

I don't mean to step on any toes if Ebay is a bad word around here but I have purchased an ESEE-3 and an ESEE-6 in the last two weeks from the same seller there with free quick shipping. I now see 240 results from a quick search of ESEE knives. Maybe better luck can be had there than from traditional dealers/distributors?

Jeff your brutal honesty is... well... honestly .... AWESOME!

+1

Jeff you got once again a rep+1 from me. I just placed the order on a RC-3 from the norwegian dealer listed on your webside. I love the Izula I bought a year ago, and have been following this forum closely. All I can say keep doing what you do, because you`re doing it right!

I blame the customer also since they go to one shop that might be out of stock then say they can't find it anywhere.

I also blame us for not keeping the dealers better informed of our production schedule. We are trying to implement some new measures that might help that.

Jeff,
No problems here, our customers are aware of the 3 week order time which has not change since day one. We got hit pretty hard at the end of last year and the beginning of this year and our inventory was basically down to a few ESEE knives.... Nobodies fault but ours, but how do you anticipate what your sales are going to be? We sure the hell don't tell our customers that ESEE isn't shipping knives...we want to keep them as our customer...and most of them will wait patiently until our order has arrived. I appreciate your honesty in this matter.

Wish all the dealers were as straight up as you guys. I have never heard the first complaint about you guys and know we never will. I just want to say thanks for that.

Brad, if you ever find that crystal ball, let me know, I could use one . . . . :D
Be safe.

Yeah it can be real stressful being told one thing from a supplier then something else occurs. I ask any one of my 3 ESEE suppliers and I can never get a good idea or better yet, what I'm told comes and goes, not good. If I want or need some info it's better to come here, allot more info and a bit more honesty I feel. I run my business on honesty and feel a mans word is most important, unfortunately, some feel different. Good things are to come. :D

We are trying to work out a future system that will be able to update everyone publicly once a week.

Even 6 weeks is not long of a wait. I'm waiting 5 years for each of my Randall knife orders.

If you want the Ray Mears Woodlore knife, current shipping time is 10 years. That's crazy. I draw the line at any knife that takes more than 9 1/2 years to get to me :)

now thats kinda funny right there :D
