The truth about screen used survival knives?

That knife was thrown around in a movie because the Director was a big fan of Tom Brown. A smaller knife was as well that was more suited to that task. :)
 
Tops makes the Tracker Scout knife - smaller, more conventional blade. I saw it in use - it's OK.

The Tracker line of knives (I-III) are cool designs, and they have some merit - they feel VERY heavy in-hand... made my RC5 feel downright nimble by comparison, and my HEST disappeared!
 
The Gerber isn't really all that bad.

I would want a plain edge for sure but I had an LMF for quite awhile and it was a decent knife. The Grylls knife is based on the prodigy, which is a scaled down version of the LMF.

I might try to score one and do a write up on it, see how it holds up and compares to others.

THAT would be interesting!
