The Ugliest Busse On Earth Contest

best i can do. i had pics of the actual abuse taking place in a thread here, but the pics seem to have expired or something, they no longer show up.

my hhfsh has chopped bricks, aluminum, lots of wood. the edge and tip rolled on the brick, and i had it resharpened and reprofiled slightly. it was also batoned with a 5lb sledge. patrick (pietrzakp) did similar work with his.

bought on the exchange, i think from strabs, i cant keep track anymore.
 
Deer camp knife, HOGFSH. Chops/splits firewood, digs holes, prys boards, hammers things and loves to be thrown at tree stumps (he misses a lot though!).

Don't get me wrong, you putting up a $300 prize is great....but that has got to be the most butt ugly mirror I have ever seen.
I would show some of my beaters but I'm afraid I might win...

Just different taste in decor...I can see how you and your cat could think that it's "All That!" and that's your right, but it is also my right to say it's not my "Cup of Tea"

And you not liking it is your right. You couldn't have had the decency to just "move along" though? Valley was trying to do something good for the members here. Was it really necessary to pop in and post "most butt ugly mirror I have ever seen"? You have just shown who really has no taste here :grumpy:

i agree, this seemed uncalled for. tinworks has never posted anything negative anywhere that i have seen, and i believe an edit is in order.:thumbdn:

It is ugly and I'm not the only one that thinks so...
You may choose to put your marbles in a bag at home with your wife or be so Politically correct you won't/can't say what you feel.
Maybe I'm just a little to much in your face, either way I don't care.
It IS still a very nice gesture to give the mirror, but if you post on the "World Wide Web" you might read or see some things you don't like.
I respect his offering and think it's a great contest but I'm sure not going to kiss any of your a$$es to say what I feel and I don't expect you to kiss mine.
It wasn't a personal attack, it's just an "UGLY" mirror so deal with it.

Alright fellas, let's agree to disagree. Chuck has his opinion and it is just as valid as any one else's. Could we have gone without calling the mirror ugly, personally I think so but what do I know. I know Chuck and he isn't shy about saying what's on his mind. Should we all jump on Chuck because he said what he thought? Nah. He stated he respected Valley's contribution, but it wasn't for him. I don't doubt that he has some seriously beaten knives that would make ours look like safe queens, an Aftershock bolo might top the list.

Now let's see some more beaten knives. Chuck where the heck have you been bubba?

With everyone respecting everyone else here, why don't we all win?

1whobuys should put his "shoe-in" pics up and see if he wins, then donate the thing to charity, put it up as a raffle prize or ebay it for whatever coalition he thinks is the most deserving.

And that is my two cents.

If I say anymore I know I will get myself on someone's "list"
 
I don't really see much point in putting the guy's work down, this contest is a nice gesture on his part regardless of what anyone thinks of the prize. I'd sure like to see some BEAT UP INFI though. Let's see what else people can dig up. Wish I could contribute some ugly pics, but since I've only been a Busse fan since October, so I don't have anything all that ugly yet. ;)

That my friends is the heart of the matter. It is a grand gesture and I for one am greatful for VTW's generosity regardless of my taste in decor.
 
I just don't show my blades enough tough love to enter this contest.

I DO appreciate the effort of putting it on. Shows real comraderie.

ok 1whobuys.... then this challelnge goes to you, get a raw peice of 26 guage steel that measures 24 x 24 and hammer out a pattern an design that can stand the test of time, (that pattern has been used since 1890) and you do something nicer........


that mirror is by far the lowest end that i do as a company but given the fact that i work hand an hand with some of the top designers and architects in the country and and i consistantly get written up in magazines all over the world, i am gonna have to defer to someone elses judgment on whether or not my stuff is ugly.... lol

nevermind, i really dont want to get into this, and consider 1whowins post to be along the lines of something i hear on playgrounds when i take my niece to the park. just post your infi asswipes.
 
My mother and father taught me to never look a gift horse in the mouth and to treat strangers with respect. I'll teach my son those same principles. That's all I'm going to write about this matter. This asswipe needs to get out and abuse an FBM.
