Ok we all have one or more. Luckily mine came ugly from the factory. Mine is a ugly sarsquatch just as it came from Jerry. I mean look at it what is there about it that isn't ugly no real style but does feel good in the hand. And I got this sheath today from a forum member who didn't want it so we traded sheaths. Now my jackhammer is naked again. But the sarsquatch has a nice little home. I want to see some ugly knives LETS SEE SOME UGLINESS!

I have liked the looks of the Sarsquatch since first sighting. For me they are beautiful! Even rusted and beat up.

here are my little uglies
Took the reverse curve out of the SS blade, and convexed it. The coating is beat up, chipping in places (some would say that the SS was an ugly knife as designed too, but they really speak to me for some reason).

Convexed edge, lots of scratches in the satin finish, and glow in the dark epoxie in the first two handle holes.

Sorry man, I don't own any ugly knives. :p

They're not ugly, just well used.
(OK the warden is quite ugly, I'll try and bend it back straight)

Spine of skelly warden, it's a little bent and twisted  from staying in the safe.

I noticed
Mine has the same (ehm... hammer) marks on the spine as yours,
but both me and my camera suck at taking pics.
Also the edge rolls (or is that a chip in yours?) are in the same places.

It took a set when I pounded it a couple inches into something and hung by the handle (200lbs of norse pork) :D

I'll refurbish it someday, it's a great pocket carry.

Bigfattyt: I like your knives, they look loved :)
(and I have a secret fetish on sus scrofas, but don't tell anyone, mkay)

It was a large roll .. LOL I tried to hammer it out but then it chipped ..

Soooo ... I did something a bit different to deal with the problem..

I put the blade in a vice edge up ... I took a hammer and flattened out the entire edge.. then I reprofiled it..

those knive show the true beautie of busse. use it and when your done it will be there no matter what
busse battered, brusied but never defeated

I am still looking for a used and abused Busse that is no longer loved so I can give it a make over, chipped, dented, scratched or missing the tip are all ok.

Richard

I have never handled one (can't get over the "UGLY"), so I can't comment on fit and feel. But, it sure is "UGLY"!!!!:

Here's my attempt at a custom Busse. It started out life as a Milganza AD. The mods fit my hand better.

I used a Harbor Freight dremel stone in my hand drill to enlarge the choil. Took me about 3 hours. No worries about messing up the heat treat :D

I have owned 2 AD's at completely different times in the past and kept almost doing that exact same mod to the choil - on both of them. I drew it up on photo shop about 15 times and I just never could convince myself I was going to be happy enough with the end result on a otherwise expensive AD. I sold the first one thinking it was a waste of time. But, I kept "WANTING" to like the AD and bought another hoping I could convince myself. Again, I kept trying to figure out a mod I felt I would be happy with. But, I couldn't.

Ultimately, I decided I needed my AD to look like the photo-chop concept at the bottom of the following pic - I am still hoping someday. :

Here is one of my many attempts to come up with an exceptable option (that I just couldn't convince myself I liked... :( ):

Couple of other AD Concept attempts:

Ultimately, I really just "Don't" like a Choil or Talon Hole.

I know there have to be more ugly Busse's. So far, I think Uncle J wins for ugly ones. But he just does mean things to his knives.

I know there are others out there who have ruined....I mean modded their infi and made them ugly

Yes you do! You have some straight handle older models. Those are all ugly. Send them my way, I will double brown bag them, to hide their ugliness from the world.
