Oh, no, Bobby's at it again!

This time it's a... it's a... well, we're not sure exactly what it is. It's kinda sorta a combination of my pancake turner machete, a BK-3, and something that Bladite showed, all mixed up after a long night of passion. If it's a love child from that exciting night, it's an ugly one, for sure.

It may be ugly, but I have a feeling that it could grow up to be something useful. If any of you can think of anything it should have, but doesn't, let me know. So far it's just flat, vector art. I won't take it to 3D until the details are worked out.

Anyway, here's my new ugly baby:

Oh, and some specs:
Blade length: 8 inches
Overall length: 13.75 inches
Blade at widest point: 2.4 inches.

Lemmeknow.

Bob its missing an attatchment for walking stick to use as a spear. otherwise its great.

Ah-ha! But I did think of that (I'm not as senile as people might think).

There are four lashing holes/points for that very thing: they make lashing to a pole or walking stick pretty easy.

If this thing ever grows up, I'll design a special sheath for it that contains a number of useful things, one of which would be an allen wrench to take the handles off to make it easier to lash to a pole.

Good thinking, though, survivaledge.

I like the digging point and the long saw teeth , nothing on the market like it. tac tul is ok but not versatile enough you need to sell this to Ethan. TACTUL 2 ???

That's one of the reasons I did it (aside from having fun). If Ethan and Toooj like it (sometime after the Blade show), then maybe — just maybe — we can see about getting it into production. I think KA-BAR could sell a ton of these things, especially with the right sheath.

maybe a sheath with a pouch attatchment ???

Looks like it would be a useful tool to have around the camp site!
I like it.

That's my thinking, too. I pretty much split my time between here and the W&SS forum. Almost everything I do is geared toward the outdoors. Any "Tactical" use is way down on my list, although this could certainly be used for that.

If Ethan asked me to make it more tactical, I could do that, but this baby was designed with the woods in mind.:D

bob...
looks easy to sharpen...

Daizee... lmao
memories of the folding Becker thread are rushing past my mind again!

I think it would be relatively easy to sharpen.

Yeah, memories of the folder thread were going through my mind too when he said "No. Pink."

The folder isn't dead yet (I hope), but pink may be dead.

I really like it. After looking at it for a while thinking what id like to have on it.... I think you covered it all ....for me at least.

I want one.

Thanks, venmm. I did put some thought into it, and I tried to cover all the bases. If you think of anything, though, let me know.

I want one, too.

After looking at it some more I agree. I was originally thinking stone, which I do think would be near impossible. But convex? I do believe it is quite doable.

I think the only area that would be even a little problematic for some people would be where there is a slight recurve where the serrations are. Other than that, a stone would work just fine.
