You would probably be less heartbroken over losing/destroying a RAT because of the price point. I would say that the other two knives have the potential to hold up better over time, but I think it comes down to how much you're willing to shell out for a beater and what your odds of losing/destroying it are.

Of yours, the Manix is great, in my opinion.

Other suggestions for great beaters;
Spyderco all metal Endura or Delica
Cold steel American Lawman, Voyager or something from the Recon series
Benchamde Griptilian (I got one around '05 and abused it mercilessly; I still EDC it and without issue.)

Sometimes a knife I bought for a beater and after it survives the usage many they have become my EDC after that just because it is tried and true and you know what it can take. Builds trust with blade that you carry if you really have used it. I have heard good things on here about the Cold Steel brand I I look forward to abusing one in the future but I know what the Rat has put up with and it grows on you quickly.

I was pretty much thinking this

If you plan to mostly cut with the knife, Rat in D2. Great price and great blade shape, but the handle can be slick. The manix is probably the best in a true hard use setting, sans battoning, of the 3. The native is one of my favorite EDC's and is stout enough but it can lack edge length because of the 50/50 choil for some tasks.

If I'm honest, this is a situation where I prefer a fixed blade in a pocket sheath like this.

The RAT is your best choice for a beater...

The Native in Maxament would be a great edc choice, and could take a beating....but when I think beater knife, I think of tossing it in a glovebox, toolbox, or any other box and forgetting about it until you need it. You shouldn't treat a Native or Manix that way...but a rat...that's what its made for!

Manix 2. Nothing says "use me hard" quite like a ball bearing lock and full steel liners. It's a heavy knife, but damned tough.

That said, when i've done construction projects around the house and the wife and I need beater knives, we use our Mora Companions. If you want to be really tough, a Companion HD. You can EACH have one, for less money than any one of the knives you are asking for. Always handy so that if you're at the top of a ladder, holing up a piece of lumber or otherwise indisposed, and she needs to use a knife, she doesn't have to borrow yours, or vice versa. And let's face it, nobody is shy about beating on a Mora. You want a knife you can think of like a tool and not baby? Mora is it!

I'm voting rat-1.
I'd go as far as say a basic aus-8 steel, easier to sharpen on the fly. Get 2 and have a sharp one as a backup .
So funny you would say that... was just thinking if I went with the RAT 1, I would definitely buy 2 :D

The KA-BAR DOZIER is another popular choice for a beater knife right ?
Just tossing that out there.

It's obvious to anyone it's the Ontario.

By default a beater knife is cheap because at some point it will be lost, dropped on it's point, or otherwise "beat on".

If you expect to wreck something you wreck something cheap.
This!

I reach fo a beater knife if I am doing something that might seriously damage or destroy one of my better knives. I also will grab a beater if I am going places where I might lose a nicer blade. When I am traveling is a good example of this.

Save $120 and just get a Kershaw Cryo. If you break it no tears.

Since everyone's adding suggestions, I'll throw in the CS broken skull. Stupid name, great knife. Very affordable.

Why don't you just buy a cheap knife from a local store? Then you could replace it without ever feeling bad about your pocketbook. That's just my opinion...

Nice poll. I went manix. Solid grip, plus the DLC should hold up incredibly well. I could find a scratch after several yards of cutting carpet on a Military I had. In fact the only wear I found was where my diamond stones grazed the blade. The rat 1 would be no slouch, but I doubt I could find work hard enough to break any of them so I’m going with the one I would want for years of abuse and cool factor. Manix! How about DLC M4?
