as i'm sure many of you do, i love to fiddle with my knives. Especially ones with AO. But in you opinion what is the best fiddleing knife. I think the kershaw et looks fun, and also some of those odd designs by crkt look cool/fun.

You mean knives to flick open and closed? That's a matter of opinion and hard to say... The Benchmade 710 is awesome for that bc of the Axis lock, pretty much any Spyderco but Military especially, Sebenza. I think the autos and assisted ones take the skill out of it and get kinda annoying. Balisongs are just a thing to themselves.

The Kershaw OD-1 is a gas to "fiddle" with... As is my ZT 0350...;)

I second the 0350 as a great knife to fiddle with. On the smaller side the Chive is great too if you are around too many sheeple.

How do you not cut the strings? You must not keep them very sharp. I prefer a horse-hair bow when I fiddle.

The ET is fun to play with, until you put your finger in the wrong place when closing it. The OD-1 is fun to mess with, because once you get used to it, you can also close it with the flipper. Another one I really like the Kershaw's Ener-G. Lee William's pseunetic opening system is a lot of fun and extremely fast, once you get the hang of it. The flipper is not a part of the blade, but a separate piece. A neat design. The MUDD is fun to flip, because you can open and close the knife without ever touching the blade, and its not AO.

I used to be able to do that with my BM Griptilian... That was a cool knife to play with as well....:D:thumbup:

The RAM is addicting when it comes to flicking open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed, open and closed....

Wow, UpChucK: very nice looking balisong and impressive pictures. You've seen a lot trouble to put the light well and seems to have you have a whitebox? Anyway, very nice pictures and very nice balisong.

The knife that I have been fiddling with is my Auto Commander. I've only owned one auto before (SOG Tac) and I forgot how fun it is to just slide the lever and *THWACK* it's open!!! :D

Here it is next to it's older brother:
