The ultimate Hawk! What does it have?

the hawk is pure genius.
the others are straight from a Chuck Heston movie....
so let it be said, so let it be written.

Uhh, I'm hoping that I'm not going to look like some massively egotestical idiot by inferring that you are referring to my stuff, and saying thank you. I believe it takes one to recognize one! *__- Maybe I'll try some more pix. Everything that I make is 'different'. Though, after 45 years smithing knives, I recently stopped. It seems that I've mined that vein to the end. Perhaps I'm tired of teaching the law to the police. Now, I carve war clubs. Hahahahaha... They, too, can make little parts from big parts. And 'canes' are legal everythere!
Thanx for the feedback.
Peace...

Not yet, until I can get one of my kids to build me one. I'll try to take some pix of some of my work and post here. I think you might enjoy... Give me a few days and we'll see. Maybe in the gallery section. Thanx for the positive response. Where were you when I was selling this stuff?? *__-

I see some hawks that sell for $150 +. I don't get it. Why are they so much durn money?
lol! No offense, but ...because if it's a hand forged hawk, it takes hours and hours to make. Not to mention the cost of materials, the cost of running the forge, etc.

I would venture a guess that the majority of 'production' hawks are 'drop forged' i.e. the hot metal is beat into the shape of a mold by a power hammer, not actually forged entirely by the smith swinging a hammer. (Maybe even some of the purportedly 'hand forged' hawks are actually mostly drop forged, as I can't see how some of the 'custom' hawk makers turn out so many ...the talon hawks being a prime example.) Even still, there's a lot of cost involved in their production.
