Well, I have been surrounded by the Brown Recluse spider all my life, and in 44 years have not been bitten. Till Wednesday. Pic attached. Dr says I got there early and shouldn't loose the finger. This pic was taken on the way to the Dr's office yesterday. Two shots and a prescription for Antibiotics later I was back to work. Its about twice that size this morning, but seems to have slowed down the growing.

Yes, IRONY was the first word that popped into my head when I first heard about this yesterday.

Hope you heal quickly.

That is good to hear Andy!! Thanks for the update. What about the spider. Did it get away? I have seen a few requests for it to be implanted into a handle. A one off!! ?

Yep, ironic like Colonel Sanders being trampled in a chicken stampede.

I hope it mends well and you feel better soon.

Spiders are Ninjas- you never know they are there until it is too late. Praying your immune system minimizes the effects.

Had many spider bites but never the Recluse.

Those are nasty bites for sure. Hope it heals well and STOPS growing.

Andy, I also wanted to say I admired your response to the recent "bite" on YouTube. Very tactful and level-headed...as well as the vendor responses to clear the misinformation. I see the video was taken down, so here's to something good coming out of it all in the end...maybe more positive exposure to a wider audience down the line.

Keep up the quality work...with your good hand! ;)

I can only imagine how many times you've been asked if you've ever been bitten. Now your answer changes. Living up to the name!

I hope it heels quickly for you Andy. Isn't this how Spider-Man got his start??!
