I think I found the absolute worst ever on the internet... what do you think about the return policy?

OUR PERSONAL GUARANTEE:
We provide a FULL 7 DAY TRIAL GUARANTEE !!! That means, the day you receive the knife you have a full 7 day trial period. If you’re not fully satisfied in the performance and quality of this knife, you can send it back for refund, minus a small 15% restocking fee. This fee covers our handling & merchant account fees. We also have a Wear-N-Tear fee, only if it needs to be applied based on the percentage of wear and tear useage. Typically it could be anywhere from 0% if it comes back in Mint, Like-New condition, up to 20-50% if it shows signs of visible wear and tear. Although the FOX Karambit Talon Blade is extremely durable, we do NOT accept returns (or warranty) blades that are dented, chipped or broken, regardless if they were caused by accident or by some other cause, as that shows obvious signs of use and/or abuse of the knife. Also, hitting the back (non-sharp) part of the blade on a hard (or semi-hard) surface (otherwise known as "Spine Wacking"), can compromise the liner-lock of any of these knives (whether the live blade or the trainer). Spine Wacking is considered abuse and will also void your warranty on any knife sold on this site. Please contact us first before sharpening or altering the blade if you feel there is any issues with your knife. ANY disassembling and/or alterations to the knife that are done by the customer that are noticed by us (if it is returned), will deem the warranty void. Pocket clips that break under use are also not covered under this warranty, as they are considered a wear and tear item/accessory. With that said, we are confident of the quality and satisfaction that you’ll receive in the full use of this Utility/CQC Defense Knife.

ANY EXCHANGES of our product line:
Any online or physical order exchages of any of our products will incur a 15% restocking fee and you will have to pay for the shipping back to us as well as the shipping going back to you for the exhanged product. Also, this has to be done 24 hours from the time you placed your order. If you received your order and want to exchange it, you have another 24 hours to do so from the time that you received your product, but again you will be subject to the 15% restocking fee as well as the shipping fee to and from.

WARRANTY (By Fox Knives Italy):
All of Fox Knives Italy made knives have a one year limited warranty from the date of purchase by the end user. The warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty does not cover defects or broken parts and materials if the defect or breakage has been caused by improper use of the knife. If you should find a defect, please contact your local Fox knives dealer, or the location from which the product was purchased.

Overseas Charge and/or Credit Card Payment Restrictions:
Any overseas purchases can only be processed using PayPal. This will further protect our business transactions and our customers. If you decide to still use your Charge and/or Credit Card to process your order, you will be reimbursed minus a 5% processing fee that we will have to incur.

Returns & Cancelations Policy:
You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a refund, (minus 15% for merchant & processing fees). The 15% merchant & processing fee applies physical returns that are received by the customer, while there is only a 10% merchant & processing fee that applies only to online cancelations. Online cancelations for ANY order you MUST CALL US. Please DO NOT email us cancelation requests. Also, you must pay for return shipping for all refunds. The only exception where we will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of sending your item(s) to the return shipper, however, in many cases though you will receive your refund usually within 7 business days. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the “Complete Orders” link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We’ll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we’ve received and processed the returned item.

You must pay for the shipping for any returned items and we only accept USPS Priority Mail (Flat Rate Shipping). Returning items MUST be insured for the full amount of what you paid for them as we will NOT be responsible for any lost shipments.

Assumption of Risk:
Relating to any of our products, ReNu Tech Solutions, LLC accepts no liability to all customers who purchase on www.theultimateknife.com. All customers assume any and all risk of injury, related to the use of any of our products. This information is also provided in the Terms and Conditions checkbox (that must be selected/checked) that tells us that the customer fully understands and agrees to when purchasing any of our products. Also, it is the purchasers responsibility to seek proper training and to know your local laws (where you reside) and what is and is not allowed so you can know what your legal rights are when it comes to carrying and/or using any products that you purchase from our site. Lastly, under our Terms and Conditions (at our Checkout area that you must check in order to complete your purchase), YOU MUST VERIFY (before proceeding with your order) that you are at least 18 years of age to make this purchase. If you are NOT at least 18 years of age, please DO NOT proceed with this purchase as we cannot sell to minors (under 18 years of age) any of our Karamit knives. Also, if a minor proceeds with the order and it does go through and we find out, that order will be cancelled and refuned and they will also be charged a 10% merchant and processing fee (of the total purchase price).

Shipping:
We can ship to virtually any address in the world, but if there are laws within your country that prohibit liner locked knives, or any other laws that restrict you from allowing the knives that we sell here on this site, then please refrain from ordering. Only in the City of Manhattan, NY and the entire country of Australia are two of such places where this knife is considered illegal to carry and is subject to confiscation and/or fines. If you do decide to order and we cannot ship to your country you will be charged a merchant & processing fee of 10% on the total amount ordered. We strongly encourage all of our international customers to please contact us first (via email) to find out if we are are allowed to ship any of our products to your country.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may or may not appear on the shipping quotes page.

Also, with the demand growing for FOX Karambit knives, we can be back ordered from anywhere between 4 to 8 weeks. Also, there could be a customs waiting period that could possibly extend that time frame by 1 or 2 more weeks. If you want to know where we are at in our current stock of this (or any) product you're wanting to order, it's best to CALL US FIRST BEFORE YOU ORDER so we can let you know our current status. Otherwise if you place your order then you will understand that it could take that long for you to receive it; even if a next day shipment order has been placed.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

We encourage ALL customers who are placing international orders to contact us first before they place their order so we can provide accurate shipping charges as our checkout menu may not provide that information.

Lost or Confisacted Shipments:
Lastly, we are not responsible for lost or confiscated shipments. If you want to insure your package you must request it by directly calling us (PH: 941-504-2400) or by emailing us (EMAIL:info@theultimateknife.com), and additional charges will apply (only if you request the added cost for insurance). No reimbursments will be given for lost or confiscated shipments (by your country's customs).

International Shipments:
If your item is confiscated by your country's customs and returned to us, we will reimburse only what is returned to us minus a 15% restocking fee. If any item(s) are missing in those returned shipments, there will be no reimbursements for those item(s), again only what is returned to us; minus a 15% restocking fee.

Thoughts? You're stinking up the forum because you have buyers remorse. You're spine whacking your 599 karambit all around your house and the lock failed because of it.

Use a folding knife properly, or get a fixed blade, it'll let you use it like a hammer without closing.

Seriously am I expected to take 15 minutes to read their damn return policy?

This looks like spam to me, we need a cleanup on aisle three.

Seems like this would be bettor off in the Feedback forum.

You do certainly seem intent on telling us all over and over how your knife didn't stand up to spine whacking.

We got it. Dont spine whack a Fox Kerambit while "flailing."

Pretty sure I would have never ordered from this place to begin with. Just based on the tackiness of the homepage, big turn off.

^^^ This works....

But, more directly, I don't buy knives from places that have strange return policy's.
I should add however that a policy like that indicates to me that too many people are buying knives, expecting them to be something they aren't, or just using them improperly and then trying to return them....

Fair enough brother. I apologize. I went a little NUTZ. Buy I didn't spine whack the real 599 but once on the video to show its weakness and defect. Buckles on a 1 o'clock slash as wrll. No good. Yes I apologize for stinking up the forum with my frustration....

I didn't think the return policy was going to end. I read about one paragraph then gave up. Way too much red tape to bother with. I would absolutely not purchase from this seller. Knifecenter, BladeHQ, and Knifeworks all have far better return policies, and are just all around great companies to deal with (had issues with the purchase from all of them, absolutely no muss or fuss on corrections). BladeHQ even went so far as to exchange a knife I took apart and modified (polished washers) because it was defective. I would say try to only deal with the big 3.

Yeah, here's my thoughts...

Man there's a lot of douchebags on these forums. This is supposed to be the 'Good, Bad and the Ugly' section of these forums specifically for products and services related to manufacturers, dealers etc.

The OP's post is totally appropriate for this forum imo as that warranty is indeed maybe the worst I have ever seen.

As for you Stonproject, might I suggest more organic fruits and vegetables in your diet? Maybe the added vitamins and minerals will help to dislodge that giant dowel you apparently have lodged in your sphincter.

I'm pretty sure this thread was started in General, not here.

warranty and terms are there before you bought....caveat emptor.

not surprised liner lock failed in that application in your video. triad would be far better for that slinging and hitting the back of the blade. cold steel a better fit for your uses. curious how an emerson would hold up....i would expect far better but not sure.

another reason to always use the good dealers. when problems arise they step up. worth the extra money every time.

btw, nice tiger stripe camo style tats.

Why because someone called out the op for spine whacking his knife over and over?

Funny! I got a good laugh thanks.

My apologies, apparently you possess some super human ability of cryptography that allows you to decipher from the OP's post that he was spine whacking his knife blade.

Because I certainly don't recall the OP making that declaration, and I looked over it more than once.
