Gifted a Spyderco Junction to a friend. He opened the box with the Chaparral I bought him two years ago.
Received no knives today. Not even the Kayaking knife that I've asked for for several years in a row. (Maybe next year.) But I gave my 13 year old nephew a nice looking Coast folder. It seemed to be well received. My Mini Ritter Grip opened a few packages for the folks sitting nearby.

I was going to use my newly opened Terava Skrama to carve the turkey at dinnertime, but when i went to clean off any oil, black coating kept showing up on the paper towell. I'm looking forward to beating up some logs and branches today though.

Received these two for Christmas! (and the jersey). Merry Christmas to all of you!
My very generous brother-in-law gave me this beautiful Casstrom folder for Christmas.
It's the Lars Falt Lock Back model with curly birch handles. I wasn't even familiar with the brand, let alone the knife, and that takes some doing! But now that I have it, I must say that this knife is excellent! The fit and finish are fantastic. The sculpted handle feels amazing in the hand. And the Bohler N690 blade is super-sharp.
I am extremely pleased with this knife and have put it to work already. What a great gift!

Steve!! Thats a beauty! I have a small fixed bladed Casstrom that I clean waterfowl with. By far my favorite little fixie. Congrats! May it serve you well!
Thanks, S&F! As I said, I was unfamiliar with Casstrom, but the company definitely has my attention now! If my knife is any indicator of quality and ergonomics, I can see why yours is a favorite!
