Well,

I've heard so much of the friction between some Seb and Strider fans, I thout i'd throw out another angle.

I had a blast last night doing some wood working, and the Large Seb, and the Strider PT worked very well together. They shared in the bark stripping, as well as some knot removals on some hickory saplings.

Edge retention was vitually the same for both models (both S30V), and I was thrilled to have them working side by side.

On that note, I have done a great deal of whittling with both models, on both freshly cut, and aged saplings, and S30V, has been great steel for my uses.

No Chipping that I have been able to see, and both resharpen very well.

Hats off to you Mick & Chris, yaw' dun goouuuuuuuuuud :D

Finally someone who understands!!!
I don't know what all the fuss is about, that people are comparing these two manufacturers???
It's like the proverbial apples and pears.
They both make absolutely wonderfull knives, both for different purposes...,but they do compliment each other very good!!!

Great post Barrabas!!

Raoul...

Well put gentleman. Both are quality tools of the highest caliber. The choice is just a matter of taste :)
