Judging from all of the "I'm ins", and a record number of "Likes" for this thread (over 150 while I slept!!), I'd say we must keep this ball rolling!!
I'm not sure when I will have more info, but I will always post here without delay!! Bill does not like nagging!! And I don't blame him!!
Please be patient, and we will put this all together, with any choices if possible.
At this point I can only see the handle choice as a variable, The blade and bolster are pretty well fixed options (oxymoron there!), and certainly respectable !! Thanks for all the enthusiasm!!
I will do my best to make sure every regular contributor to "Traditionals" has a chance to get one. Porch members are a priority!!

Thank you very much Charlie. I would like to have one if there is a chance that any member will distribute in Europe, as happened with the last TC.:thumbsup:;)

Yeah wait I want to add red to my list. Maybe yellow dyed too. Just nothing orange.
I don't THINK they have officially, but I know a lot of the sawcut ones turnout a little orange. like the goldenrod sawcut bone and amber sawcut bone.
"Brown" is just a darker shade of orange, pigment-wise. ;)

My vote (if it comes to a vote) is something in the blond/caramel range:

An amber sawcut bone would be very neat. The bolsters are an interseting touch as well, dont think I have anything in my collection like that.

The bolster looks long on these but it's going to be a big hefty barlow, so proportionally I'd say it's just about right. I personally love a dovetail bolster, even though I traded both of my 77s with them.

Thanks for your mighty efforts Charlie:thumbsup:. I'm in for a 2021 BF knife. I've been recovering from COVID and this gives me something to look forward to (sorry for the bad grammar:rolleyes:). As far as covers are concerned ... I like Ebony but I certainly would be happy with anything that you would choose:thumbsup:.

You’re not wrong, but I stand by my assessment of brown is brown and orange is gross.

I like your blonde/caramel idea though, especially for sawcut covers. Pretty natural color that would age well.

And some times the darker dyes have a tendency to be a little splotch and inconsistent, easier to just have them all more plain and uniform.

Those look pretty nice, some might not like them as they'll darken with age.

The Oates Barlow is over 100 years old, so maybe it started out white.:)

Maybe it depends on the dyes used. Some knives darken with age, and others seem to get lighter as the dye wears off the surface.

Such nice big bolsters. Include pricing for up to three (at least two mandatory) initials.

Just to echo a lot of others, it looks like it could be a very nicely sized and hefty knife! Thank you for all the hard work Charlie @waynorth, Bill, Barry @gunstockjack and everyone else that's involved :)

Sorry if this has been asked already, but is there any likelihood/possibility that the bolsters will be steel rather than nickel silver? Any ideas what it might called? An oily field jackrabbit jack?

I'm also in on these. The bolsters are the biggest draw on this for me. I like when GEC does something a little more ornate. Or, even just different from the norm, like the lambfoot. Single blade is great. I tried a few of the 2-blade 86s and I could never get past the sharp kick of the closed blade.

I hope you win the fight against the virus quickly, Bill.:)
