Okay guys and gals... we all here have items knife related (heck maybe even some not knife related) that we aren't using that we KNOW someone else may appreciate.

Here are the rules:
You can ask to acquire an item posted by another individual however please understand they reserve the right to whom they gift it to. Please don't just claim items to claim them guys and gals... be mindful of the others here.

IE: I am going to put up my Cold Steel Ti-Lite. I LOVE this little knife however I literally NEVER carry it. I therefore reserve the right to ask kindly if someone will let me try/have an item they offer. IF you haven't gifted an item, you must then put one up if you ask for one... simple.

Shipping is at the discretion of the person offering the item IE: I personally don't mind shipping 1 knife however if it were a 50 lb barrel, I clearly may ask the person receiving to split and or cover shipping. At your discretion guys.

This is an awesome idea. I don't have much to give away but I will be back and post some items. To those of us who have never sold/bought anything via such a transaction, who is responsible for shipping and how would one transfer funds for shipping?

BTW I think that cold steel looks pretty cool.

Well, I know shipping 1 knife isn't going to make or break me... however if the person putting up an item asks the buyer to cover shipping, that could be at their discretion, great question!

I'm sure I have some stuff to contribute! I'll check when I get home. I know for sure I have a decent amount of paracord if anybody would like to try their hand at wrapping a handle or two, or braiding up a lanyard.

Wait did I understand you right? We all post what we wouldn't mind parting with, and then other members can ask if we'd be willing to give it to them, and if we are then they get it so long as they give away something of theres to someone else?

If so, that sounds like a great idea! But I'm not sure if the mod's will see it as appropriate for this subforum.

Seems like it warrants it's own

That's exactly right... Just something kool we can all do at our leisure... One mans junk sorta thing..

I understand, and it sounds like a great idea.

I was just commenting on how it might be worthy of its own subforum. That way it would be a little more organized and each item could have its own thread. If I were you, I'd talk to the mod's about it.

A "Pay it Forward Arena" would be a really cool addition to BF:thumbup:

Considering how huge the last pay it forward threads went, I think this is a great idea!

I've only ever lurked in those threads, but it's a beautiful idea and was really cool to see all the kindness and generosity amongst members....

A sub forum dedicated to pay it forward would only make it better!

I agree... I've tried other forums, this one seems pretty awesome tbh.

This was done before, and it went well for a while. Some folks were left high and dry, and others were trying to sell their stuff by disguising their "offerings". Keep it free from that and things will be alright. The last time something like this I recall several people were issued infractions when things got completely out of control.

Alright OP, tell me if I am doing this right.

I would love to play with the cold steel you put up. Here is what I am putting up:

Anyways, this is not a high quality knife, probably a Chinese copy of something. But it could be cool if you are a collector, for me it just sits there. I am not sure if had to put something up of greater or equal value (don't have anything else to part with.)

Edit: it is actually made in Japan, out of 440 Stainless. Shows how little I know.

Yikes, the address asking just made it clear how bad of an idea this could really be.......

We're all going to start lending our things out to other members, with no idea if we'll ever get them back?

I see problems on the horizon with this plan if it's not regulated in some way.

I'm talking about when someone wants to just TRY something you own. As in, you want to keep it but you'd be willing to let them try it for a while.

Love this idea!

I have a gently used, slightly modified BM Volli I'd like to offer up. The scales have been slightly reprofiled to contour the liners. Only G-10 was removed, no steel/liners. Don't know if this will void warranty. Has some vertical play typical of some BMs but no side to side. I just don't carry it anymore. Includes box and cloth bag.
