I specified priority mail over UPS on this Spec-Ops pack and man was that a mistake. The box was ripped and the pack was all scrunched up. I could not find any rips or tears, but it lost what rigidity it had. I had to order a frame for it today and that's an expense I really didn't need.

Did you sign for it damaged? If you did or not I would be filing a claim for that mess.

Sorry that happened to you.

I do feel USPS is much better than any other option.
No way will I ever use UPS or FedEX again.
Mistakes will happen in life, and USPS makes far fewer than their competition.

Again, sorry to hear about your bad luck.

I have to respectfully disagree with you Ken the post office has lost or missed delivered 6 packages of mine this year alone UPS None maybe its a regional problem I don't know. And in case you didn't know UPS and Fed Ex are now handling most of the Post Office air packages now so truth be told you are using them whether you know it or not.

It has a piece of stiff rubber type foam that was kinked when the box was crushed. I called Spec-Ops and ordered a hard plastic frame insert that they make as an option. It was shipped priority and it didn't require a signature. It had to have something very heavy to crush it and rip the box open like it did. I will take some photos to my local post office. I have a very dependable UPS driver and should have had it shipped via UPS. There was no damage to any of the hardware or the nylon. It's just something that should not have
happened with a priority mail delivery.

In my mailbox today I got a package from a member here. He sent a few forge bricks. I was really irritated to see that the box was in a plastic shopping bag(!) with a bunch of dust at the bottom. These are very specific bricks that are hard for me to come by. Some of the corners were broken off, but thankfully they were mostly intact.

I know the type of bricks that you're talking about. I realize the USPS is very busy this time of year, but there is no excuse for shipments arriving in that condition.

Regional problem more likely. USPS has been fantastic totally for the entire last year, for my 100 or so packages. Both ups and fedex are nutjobs - they will leave a note if I am not around bec the package requires signature, but next day will drop the package on my door and run away. Ups delivers at 10pm typically after all their commercial customers are done (they start 7 am as per the tracking). I have exclusively moved over the USPS.

Not sure if priority mail gets treated differently than first class in terms of handling though. Sorry to see what happened to you hope you get it sorted soon.

Spec Ops would have replaced that for you. They have great CS

6 in one year ??? Must be a regional problem, as I've never heard of anyone that has had 6 items lost/miss delivered in a lifetime, much less in the same year. I think you need to go down and talk with the PO, and if that doesn't work go higher. It may be a problem with the carrier.
Very sorry to hear you had those problems.

I've used USPS my whole life and never had one problem with them. UPS has lost wedding pictures of mine, and a $500 knife.
FedEx won't even knock on my door. They just stick a note on the door if I don't get out fast, or just throw it up on my porch from where they park about 10 feet away.
If a place can't ship USPS I won't order from them.

USPS is not being gentle these days . I recently sent a medium flat rate box of knife scales to a customer , heck he only lives 150 miles south of here . It was packed well and tight and taped like crazy . When he got it the side was blown out and some wood hanging out .

I prefer USPS over Fed Ex and UPS for a few reason's. A Fed Ex location is about 35-40 minutes away and their prices are ridiculous!! As for UPS a location is 30 minutes away, prices are not bad for ground, but they take forever!!! Also both UPS and Fed Ex both want to know exactly what's in the box!! I personally think its none of there business as long as it's not dangerous!!

Looks like the shipper chose a crappy unfilled box to ship in. Had it been properly sized/filled that should not of happened. When I ship USPS I expect Ace Ventura to handle my box. With THOUSANSANDS of packages processing daily in whatever way they do it, I do not expect them to hold my packages hand through its journey. Now if I pay the extRa $12 to register it and see that, I may be pizzed at USPS.

They destroy my envelopes all the time.

Im up to a cpl thousand so far this year via first class in cheep padded envelopes. No complaints here  May consider calling and complaining if you have not already .

I'm just unlucky. It's been with a bunch of buyers and sellers all over the place.

You can complain till the cows come home, they never care/listen.

That sucks. Greatful to not have those issues. Ive shipped to every end of the world this year, typically using click and ship or the ebay/paypal print off method. Great results here. Have had a few bumps in the road but nothing worth writing anyone off for.

Never had a problem with any of them personally. I do prefer USPS and Fedex though.....UPS on the other hand I don't like so much. They all handle the packages fine, but it seems Fedex and USPS are MUCH faster than UPS.
