First off Gary or Frank if you feel this should go to the more encompassing GEC thread I understand. I just wanted to focus on the #15 frame only.

I'm amazed at how truly versatile the #15 frame is. I believe the non knife person would find it hard to fathom the same frame produces so many different and unique knives. I'd been meaning to do this for sometime now as I knew the #15 dominated my GEC knives.

I laid them out on a vintage German cigar press so they could be shown in all their glory ;).

I was going to do a left to right description but after the first picture I ended up re-arranging so the Radio's would be side by side.

The ones I own:

1) Radio in Red Bone (first release).

2) EZ Open Scout with Ebony.

3) Radio Diamond Shield with Ebony (second release).

4) Harness Hack #7 with Ebony.

5) Clip/Pen Barlow with Gabon Ebony.

6) Clip/Pen Barlow with Rust Red Bone.

7) Sheepfoot/Pen Barlow with Gunstock Walnut.

8) Sheepfoot/Pen Barlow with African Blackwood.

9) Clip/Spey Barlow with Saddle Brown Sawcut Bone.

10) Spear/Pen Barlow with Chestnut Bone.

I really, really like the #15 in all it's glory .

Lets see some group shots of your #15's...

Wow Paul, that's a fine line up you have there! My single clip blade w/ ivory bone is off with a friend at the moment, so no pictures haha. While this isn't really a fair question...Which is your favorite? :D

I love the 15 pattern as well, and while my collection and my picture isn't up to par with yours, here they are (I'll replace this pic when I can take one with better lighting).

The 15 is a true classic in all it's combinations of blades, bolsters and handle materials. I feel lucky to have watched it evolve, a true piece of knife making history. Thanks Charlie. Can't wait for the mail this week.

Great Thread Paul, thanks.

Very best regards

Robin

Paul, you have it worse than I thought!!! :D

Awesome line up!

Yeah, what he said :D

Most impressive my friend and I agree about the average person. Heck I bet If I showed my wife this pic right now all I would here is.....why does he have so many of the same knife??.... lol. I love your variety and this makes me miss the 15 I had. Enjoy the rest of your weekend Paul

A great, nicely displayed collection, Paul!
Very inspiring!

Also a nice assortment of #15s Toddwalla! Every one a beauty!

Thanks to both of you for a pleasant morning contemplation while I sip my coffee!

It's a specific subject. I think it's fine as a separate thread.

That is truly an impressive collection; and I had not realized how many variants GEC had squeezed out of that frame. Thanks!

Oh my goodness! That Barlow in ?rust red bone?, number six from left in the first picture, is amazing. So classy.

I wish I hadn't opened this page! I want sure which one took my breath away more, ebony or jigged bone. Now I really really don't know. These pictures are now my background on my computer, btw. So cool.

The radio diamond second release, and the harness hack are also favorites. Heck, the thread is completely full of win. I'm going to have to wipe off my phone now.

Thanks Kirby, my hands down favorite is my Clip/Pen Barlow with Gabon Ebony covers. A knife just comes along that speaks to you and this one is it for me .

Thanks Robin, and you are so right in regards to the #15---a true classic. You are correct in the thanks for Charlies visions and how he and GEC have takin this ball and ran with it...

I wonder what other great cutlery companies have utilized a frame to this extent? I'm sure there are several, I just don't know off hand---Calling jon_slider ;).

Paul, you have it worse than I thought!!! :D

Awesome line up!

Thanks Kevin, sometimes you just don't realize ones addiction until they're all gathered in one spot :D.

Oh how I love that long pull nail nick and pronounced swedge on those spear point's; I've always been late to a party, usually by a day, and always poorer for it.:(

I have only two of the #15's - one with the Nifebrite acrylic covers and this one below in bone that I really enjoy carrying :

Paul great post and pics. My herd is also dominated by the 15 frame. Maybe I'll drag em all out for the group shot you requested. :D

Hey Derek that's a sweet knife you have there. ;)
