The Wait Begins!

I love this forum. You guys are hilarious. I bought my first FF knife last week. There is no way I can afford one this week, yet here I am at 7:50 in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and I will be late for work because I want to see what he made this week...

I am en route to a customer meeting and have pulled off the highway. I am now sitting outside a coffee shop for wifi signal and with each passing minute I'm rolling the dice that the construction and traffic around the DC beltway will be light and I'll make my appointment once the FFF post gets made. We'll have to see - everyone have a good day!

I hear you Rhiney. I'm on the opposite coast in Halifax and I've been hitting that refresh button since I first sat down at my desk this morning...despite the fact that I literally just received four new knives from Fiddleback a few days ago. Andy et al put on a show that is simply too good. There is no way I won't tune in to check out a Fiddleback Friday, even when I'm flat broke haha!

Thanks Maw. I've been a knife collector for a few years and I have several hundred knives, but only a handful of customs. Can't wait for my Bushfinger to arrive, and Rick Lowe is kindly making me a dangler sheath. I hear you guys about convincing the wife about why you need another knife...I'm lucky, I can slip one into the display case and because there are so many, she rarely notices. Except I think the Bushfinger looks so unique that she will notice, so we'll see if I get away with it this time!

Take care Shamr0ck.

I am attending my sons remembrance day celebration at his school, waiting with my Ipad for the batch, sitting in the last row. Does that make me a bad father? I think my son has more benfit from me showing him how to do a feather stick than ...

I better stop right here ...

My wife doesn't miss a thing. We both understand I have a "problem". Thankfully she LOVES her Bushfinger—no, that was not meant to sound dirty either—so she at least fully approves of the FB builds. She just passed my computer and said, "Oh, Fiddleback Friday!" Ha ha ha!

No, it makes you an awesome father, because one day your son will want one himself, or another and another...

Come on brother. Put the iPad down.

Yes, which reminds me, I wanted to ask Andy whether we can see a "first boys knife" one day ...

No one is a bad person for being a FBF knife nut. We are all fine. Really...no problems here right?! :)

On a different note - It shouldn't be too much longer folks. Hang in there!

I love the idea of a FF "boys first knife"! One of the other custom makers I really like (off the map) has a model he made for his son, scaled down to fit a boy's hand. Great idea, and I'd love to see a FF interpretation of the same idea.

Great idea! "Honey, but we have three boys and they ALL need a First Boy's Knife...and the other six are back ups and for all of our friends' boys."
I'm down with it.

FBF had a jr. bushcrafter for a while. I owned one for a period of time and it was a great knife!
