Paul,
It is a hard wait. I did it not too long ago. You can do it. Just keep reading those reviews and looking at those pics.

The first knife was probably used to cut stuff.

I ordered my lefty Sebenza around 2 weeks ago directly from Chris Reeve and I am still waiting on it because the woman told me that they were out of handles so they were in the process of making some so it would take 3 to 4 weeks for mine to get to me. I am going crazy waiting!!!!! By the way this is my first Sebenza.

Just wait until you guys send them to CRK for some customization after you've carried them for a while...

It will drive you NUTS!

Brandon

I HAD to have one! I couldn't wait, it would have driven me mad. I called Mike Payne and I had a new Small Plain Sebenza in my hands within two days! Of course, this was a right-handed model.

No kidding...Waiting SUCKS!

You think waiting for your Sebenza is rough? Wait till you have it around a while, and can't wait till morning so you can get up and play with it some more.

When mine arrived, I started planning meals around what would give me the most slicing and dicing to do with it. Those fruits and vegetables are healthy, too!

I thought skylands was out of stock?

I ordered mine (small, polished blade) from Bladeart and got it in two days as well.

Waiting sucks. Just got my MicroTech M-UDT. Missed the UPS guy on Friday, so I had to wait all weekend, and into Monday evening for him to get back.

Man!
It REALLY sucks to miss the UPS guy on friday. You have to go through the extra torture of waiting 'till monday. The UPS guys ought to figure out some way to let you to go and pick up your OWN package, but there's NO WAY.
I tried. They won't let you go and pick it up for love nor ready money.
I thought I heard laughter.

The wait for me, continues. Ordered an Umfaan with a graphic design from CRK March 9th. I'm learning to live with the wait. I know it will eventually come.

Dann, I feel your pain. I'm waiting for two REKATs myself, and hoping the deal on another
falls through so I can buy a third.

Easyrider,

Sorry, but the deal on "the other" will fall-through, as I got it...HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Steve-O pats Paul on the back, "It will be here soon...and it's worth the wait."

RDaneel - I called CRK, they were 8 weeks behind, no stock of anything. All I wanted was the basic gray turd so I called Greg at Skylands. Did you want a certain pattern or are Umfaans in that short supply? You will be well pleased when it arrives. And hey..where have you been?

Steve-O

I had a helluva time waiting for my BM 350. I ordered from some place in CT called UWS. I originally wanted the 350BT and ordered it online. After waiting a week, I called them and they told me they were out of that and that they were waiting for Benchmade to ship. I ended up waiting three weeks before I called again and had them ship the uncoated 350. Then I had to wait another week. I hated all the waiting, but it made me so much happier when my toy finally came. My hands were literally shaking as I unwrapped the package.
Even though it sucks, good things come to those who wait.

Spydies... Bet you can't buy just one.

I've been wanting a Sebenza for years. Now that it's so close it's driving me crazy. Never had one do this to me before. This is going to be a long week.

Paul

Yea, Dann I'm working on trying to find one. I want one of the green ones from the first production run. One of the red/black Bladeforums Sifu would be a close second.

Ever notice that, while you see a lot of "I just bought a Sebenza" posts here, you almost never read a "I'm unloading my Sebenza" post? Yet, they're always showing up over on the Exchange forum. Does anyone actually KEEP theirs?

Hey Paul, I sympathize...

When you get it, open and lock the blade, then hold it horizontal to the ground and release the lock, gravity will pull the blade down to vertical. Few knives will do this...new OR old and broken in.

I know your pain. It took 3 and a half weeks to get my first "Toad" from Bestknives.com. Then, when I got it, the box had yellow discolorations on it. I just said the heck with it and kept it.
grumble,
MAtt

I feel for you dude! Went through the same thing waiting for my Sebi as well.

At the moment I am waiting for 5 blades to arrive!

3 Spyderco's and 2 EDC 154CM Forum blades.

I'm getting impatient

!!!!

Will customs have a fit? Will it get lost etc!
