"The Walking Dead" Endura Fail

Its from earlier in the series, but look at how Hollywood thinks smart to carry your Endura. On a side note anyone know if they contacted spyderco about getting knives for the show?

If its in your pocket who will see it ;)

I've gotten so sick of the awful realism that I've quit watching the show, it's really obvious that they put no emphasis at all on any sort of realism. The gun play is some of the worst I've ever seen.

I'm with you. A show about zombies certainly is worth watching if it isn't realistic

She should clip it in her back pocket.

I want to know why, if they're in danger of being eaten by zombies, they're still running round in jeans and tee shirts.

If it were me I'd have raided the nearest bike shop for as much leather and kevlar as I could reasonably put between those zombie teeth and my tender flesh.

Then I'd get a chainsaw. :)

I'd rather be able to move faster/easier.

I called a friend who worked on the show but is now on True Blood. Stupid shit like this is intentional.....director will ask the person to "show" the knife. They think it is edgy.

Not knowing how to wear a knife (though I still think her pocket was too tight) is very realistic. Or did only knife nuts survive the apocalypse?
What is much weirder is how they have highly polished cars at times.

... you know what I always thought was weird when I was working construction?

You'd see guys carrying their sheet rock knife clipped to the outside of their pocket - it was super common - word on the street is that its easier to access that way rather than to reach into your pocket - I still think that its strange, but people do, do it.

And the comment about her pockets not being able to fit a knife like that is a pretty spot on observation. Pocket depth on women's clothing is nearly non existent.

I had a plumber come to my house just yesterday and couldn't help but notice he had his knife clipped exactly the same way as hers.

Perhaps she has started a trend...maybe I'll carry my pm2 "Lori style" when I go out today. Fashionable and badass!

In reply to a previous post, Lori and Andrea were by far the two most useless people ever. I started each episode hoping they would become zombie bait.

What was more disappointing to me about Lori and her Spyderco Endura was when she got into the automobile crash. She had a zombie coming through the windshield to eat her brains :barf: (wouldn't have been much) and all she could do was luckily find a screwdriver and jam it into the zombie's face. That would have been a perfect Spyderco moment. :(

Its all a conspiracy by spyderco to get viewers to carry their knives that way, lose them, and then be forced to buy a new one. Or they just don't know what they're doing.

I've never watched the show, but I am going to start carrying all of my knives this way.

Well, the ones I want stolen anyway.

Please take note of my scathing sarcasm.

Count me as another that had a visceral dislike of that character. If she would have lost that Endura by carrying it in that manner I'm sure the writers would have dedicated a segment on her blaming Rick for her carelessness.

Same thing with LOST... remember the bald guy had a Spydie clipped clip side in to his vest.

One thing about this show puzzles me, the struggle they have to find food, shelter, ammo etc. With most of the people dead, surely there would be an abundance of these things? OK maybe not fresh food but for god's sake there are supermarkets in every neighbourhood. As to ammo, I was under the impression every right-thinking American had at least 10,000 rounds stashed away for a rainy day. :D

what is wrong with these people!? Some guy I met at a party said he had a recon 1 but lost it because it fell off the clip when he was hiking... He was brandishing a sog flash with th it clipped so that the knife was outside of the pocket when we were talking..... Im just going to shake my head and move on.
I've seen that a few times in public. Both times it was a Kershaw leek.

An endura would suck for stabbing zombie brains.... If I had my choice of spyderco, I'd have to get a chinook III.... that will show those zombies

There are a lot of fails on this show. The first season was awesome and promising. However with the yearly director and producer changes and AMC penny pinching...it's gone down hill.

Many many fails. Governor using patched eye to look down the scope of a rifle. Governor head shots with pistol same way
Lori head shots on zombies over 20 feet away with a snub nose revolver.
Zombies are so decayed that removing a gas mask removes their face yet they make perfect bullet shields for rifle rounds...sorry but most rounds especially rifle round pass through normal people with no problem...army was having a problem with this and that's why the 6.8 round was created.
Filing cabinets stopping bullets. Hardened Armor plates at a quarter inch thick are needed. Sheet metal at 1 -2 mm won't stop a round.
That's just some of the many many fails of the show.

Oh and here's a knife fail for you. Look up the scene at the school with the prisoner Shane and Rick. The knife flips from one side to the other in one scene after another and no one is near it.

Don't forget the scene at the farm where Hershel has a 30 round pump shotgun!
