Morgan's movements have about 0% of anything to do with aikido or jojutsu. Other than the awesome book he was given and the philosophy of nonviolence, Morgan is very clearly not demonstrating aikido on the show. It's just tv bs.

I thought the stick movements looked generic kobudo bō movements but definitely are not the aikijō kata movements found in aikido
 
It's a show about zombies. I wouldn't place too much emphasis on the realities of the martial arts shown in it.
 
I gotta agree with Garth. Morgan has become useless - no, actually he has become dangerous - to the group since he became a "pacifist"! That attitude doesn't work and is dangerous in a post apocolypse world!:eek:
 
OK, time to give this thread a bump! Season Six resumes tonight at 9pm. Finally. It's been a long wait. I'll be sitting in my recliner watching it on the 55 inch HD TV I gave myself for Christmas! And as I did the last couple of seasons, my TGLB will be by my side and I will be looking for some more Busse knives to show up in the series, hopefully. I just heard a rumor on the internet that Daryl is going to get killed this second-half of the season. I sure hope not. I'm going to be really pissed if he is! He is my favorite character along with Carol. If they are going to kill off one of the "main" characters, I hope it is Morgan and the useless priest. I use to like Morgan, but since he became a "pacifist" he is useless or worse, dangerous to the group! A bit less than 8 hours to go! :D:thumbup::D
 
I'd be more looking at saying goodbye to Abraham than Daryl or Carol. Morgan is on borrowed time too.
 
In the comics Abraham is shot in the head while telling Rosita he loves Sasha... He just fell for Sasha so maybe it's him to go. I have a friend who has read every comic. It's close to the story but not very close. Robert Kirkman is quoted as saying the show follows the comics close enough but not too close.

I'm just happy that the show returns tonight!:D:thumbup::thumbup: I also hope that they leave the "core" group alone; Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Maggie, Carol, and Michonne.;)

I believe we will see several"core group" members die before the end of this season, and see some new ones emerge

Daryl dies, the show dies with it. At least for me. Although the show is close to dead for me anyway. I blew it off tonight, although I recorded it. But for at least most of the last season, I was getting bored with it. They are getting soft, and stupider even than they used to be. I'll see where they started with this season probably tomorrow night. But if they don't start strong, I may be out.
