THE way to dull a blade. ;)

I am pretty sure the insulation blowers use some crazy treated recycled newspaper for the most part, I've insulated 2-3 houses with the stuff. But it's abrasive for sure.

I had the same experience with my Mora Clipper, cutting rolled insulation to length while finishing my basement. Didn't take long to really dull the blade. Plus, I was using the paper backed insulation, so the black glue that holds the paper on the fiberglass gooped up the blade, which in turn gooped up the diamond side of my new DC-4 stone. Guess I should have cleaned the blade before sharpening Lesson learned! William

if you ever do drywall work, use a utility knife. You'll pay 10 bucks a yard in steel otherwise...

You can ,and I did, blow in fiberglass insulation this weekend. Owens Corning.
