Sir,

You are a prairie dog pottin' machine!

You have my admiration, not that it will do you any good in the field.

Hope you make it to Blade! ;)

This is a link to a couple carnage shots.......note the one where the face got shot off......Ken dubbed it The Mask II.

Hey...it's a nice day out:

200 yards away....hiding in the grass....they'll never see me....

Do you eat them or use them for anything? That's a lot of em!

They are considered a pest, like starlings and jackrabbits. There is no limit in most jurisdictions. As a general rule, it is expected that the hunter will pick up the corpses and properly dispose of them.

The turkey vultures were observing our adventures today, so they are clearly feasting tonight, along wth the other scavenging animals.

We spent a couple hours at my dad's range this morning, until 10AM or so, to shoot a couple rifles. BrainOnSigs got to shoot a .25-06 for the first time, though a Cooper Arms M52 Classic with French Walnut stock. I put 27 rounds through my second Cooper Arms M21 Phoenix in .204 Ruger.

We then drove up to Buffalo Gap again, this time to a different prairie dog town on the same ranch. We got our tally up to 264.

We left when it became cold and windy.

Oh yeah......another 71 were dispatched this afternoon....the total, as Ken stated, is now 264.

I killed 6 on 2 shots today.....back to back triples!

.204 Ruger is the bomb.....literally. :D

The Cooper MTV Model 21 is just an incredible piece of working art. This one has sent over 500 prairie dogs to their grave....and it just keeps shooting like a laser.

once the prairie dogs were as thick as blades of grass on the prairie, then the long knives showed up with their coopers  :D

nice shootin tex

Ken keeps wanting to kill one with an ASH1 DC with black/tan G10 handles.....but he ain't stealthy enough...... ;)
