The Weekly Ritual

Knives should not present much of a problem, but you might check. I have carried at least one knife in Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile act.
I would suggest one good stout folder; if you are to be in the boonies then a good fixed blade of 5 to 6 inches is also in order. Quite often, I will carry a Reeve Project I and the Busse BA3 as well as a folder. Nevertheless, even the Project I is overkill, if you are in the bush, you will have a machete for the big work.

Good luck, Brazilian beer is great, at about 33 cents a can US. A guy can have a hell of a good time, you just got to take care.
 
Dont have much of a rotation due to lack of items, but heres my list:

Every day:
emerson commander BTS(99 model)
pilot Dr. grip pen(10$ alternative to "Corporate kubotans")

Rotations, occasionals, and secondaries:

spyderco endura
spyderco merlin
21" asp

maybe a neck knife in the future..
