Hello dear brothers,

From the same series of steel beasts with God's good will, here we go with one 'one off' blade that i named 'weird beast' and ill tell you why :D - this knife was a special order for a good friend of mines Bday; all details were custom like the combo grind with second bevel, slightly undersized scales, the expensive cross cut carbon fiber and all other small details that i gladly accepted in order for him to be happy but guess what - when the time came, handling the knives in my shop he shortly decided to cease the 'weird beast' for the most basic puukko i had in there for the simple reason 'he is a light bushcrafter' (made me thinking if he didn't knew this before complicating me into this quite complex knife... but whatever :)).

The objective was to make a knife that can cut through steel bolts with zero edge damage and that can withstand cutting through a high strength compacted concrete construction block without damage beyond the micro bevel, without severe chipping or cracking and with the knife still being usable.

So here we go with the 'weird beast' with a blade made out of Wolfram Special high carbon steel, hardened to app 64 HRC, with a compound grind and second bevels. The handle is made using the most expensive carbon fiber from Toray (cross cut) while the fittings are solid brass thick walled tubes.

Please do excuse the vid exposure/quality but i haven't seen that the focus is too high and it was also a real challenge to macro shot the bevel (never knew how this is done right :)) but it can be clearly seen that after the bolt cutting the edge had absolutely zero damage and that after the concrete block cut it only had minor chipping way below the second bevel line (i was able to get it back to razor sharp in 3 minutes on a work sharp system.

The blade is app 4" with an overall of app 8".

The price for this one off 'weird beast' this is only 155 usd (pocket kydex sheath can be made on request for 30 usd).

All the best, God bless,
Bogdan

Hello, Bogdan! I enjoy seeing your work here. That's a very interesting knife. May I ask, what is the purpose of the notch in the ricasso area?

Got it.
Thank you, sir!

Is this still available? And may I know what the blade stock thickness is if so?
