Born on Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Seward's Icebox, spent my formative years in western NY state, 20 years in the Phoenix metro area (mostly East valley), last 16 years in Colorado.Traveled a bit for my uncle sugar. Work has me living and working in Asia from time to time, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, SE China, Hong Kong is a home away from home.

%$#@, I must be bored, I need to get a job !!

I was born in San Francisco and have lived here most of my life. Right after college I liven in Minneapolis for three years and then after I split with my wife I lived in a small town suburb just north of San Francisco for about two years. Although I love the outdoors living in suburbs gave me hives.:grumpy:

Way down in the SE. corner of Penns Woods... Just west of Philly, the, uhh... City of Brotherly Love.(Its kinder nickname) :D

I'm in Ridgefield WA.. Just a smidge north of Vancouver WA, which is right across the Columbia River from Portland Oregon..

360joules and River8 are neighbors (next county over), not that they associate with my kind:eek: and Dunner is somewhere around here!?!?!?!

Anybody up for another Portland get-together?? Scotch and Cigars and INFI at the Edgefield?

NE Georgia for me. Hey, Roughedges, are you sure that's a Monkees tune? I heard it off on old 1930s-ish hillbilly recording years ago.

I'm in central Pennsylvania. About two hours north east of Pittsburgh.
About 20 mins north of Punxsutawney Phil!

It probly isn't. :D they are just the first people I heard singing it. now I'm gonna go look it up!

Ok, according to some guy named Jumbojimbo who sounds like he knows what the heck he is talking about, the lyrics as I know them were first recorded by the Carter Family in 1934 but the song is actually a lot older than that.

That makes me feel better than thinking it was a Monkees song that Johnny Cash got right!

Currently living in St. Maarten in the Caribbean for the past two years, but I can't wait to get back home to Clovis, California in about 4 months. I will miss this beautiful view from my living room window though. :D

if you won't dog me for drinking bourbon instead of scotch, then count me in ;). if the edgefield thing doesn't play out, i'll probably be in ridgefield for the 4th of july parade. my wife has a friend that lives a couple blocks off the parade route, and we've gone up for that a couple of times.

oh, and Portland, OR for the last 23 years, and Grays Harbor, WA for my formative years, with short stints in Columbia, MO and St. Petersburg, FL mixed in there.
