The Wife's Kit

Nice kit, I've got a similar one for my wife - not that she really knows what all is inside of it.

Did I miss water purification tabs? I make sure to include those in any kit.

I got a set of those LED lights from Sam's and have had good luck with them also I also bought a bunch of PakLites for night lights while traveling and as lights for around the house when power goes out. They run on 9-volts which are often the only batteries left in stores during emergencies. So, I stocked up on these lights and use up the old batteries that are swapped out of smoke detectors. The lights are now the night lights for the kids' rooms. They've gotten addicted to the flashlights too.

I too bought the two pack of the LED flashlights from Sam's - for my kids Christmas presents. This is a testament to the lights; my kids are 2 1/2 & 4, most flashlights last about two weeks with two to three battery changes within that timeframe. Since Christmas, the lights are played with daily and they still work and we have not had to change the batteries yet...

how is the kids eye sight...kids have a bad habit of blinding other kids with the bright LED's... pretty funny until they shine it in your eyes !

"You don't point it at faces!!!" is a common yell around the house, but they figured it out pretty quick. They are not the devious age yet, where they set up their brother or sister to get blinded...
