The wish list - any thoughts?

My lack of funds, and fever for INFI has created quite the back log of desired Busse knives. Plus, add to that, the slew of new knives coming out of Hogdom, and my head is spinning. First, I had this idea that I needed to fill the "smaller than a Skinny, but bigger than a SAR3" niche. My skinny ash is a great camp/survival knife, but just a bit larger than I'd want for a day hike, or close to home hunting trip.

Then, I fell in love with the SAR4, and wondered why I hadn't considered one sooner. I even borrowed one from a great Hog which confirmed I needed one. Its robust, simple, short-er but not too short. A good "basic" knife. I even fantasized about modding one like Ducci did... which I loved!

Then.... enter C.A.B.S. - A smaller, thinner, practical, EDC, Slicer, Unique lack of Choil, light weight... bla bla bla

Then!!! I discovered the BATAC. Another one of those "Why didnt I consider it earlier" knives. Looks like a great practical size. Not too big/small

Which brings us to yesterday and the SAR6?? we're all assuming.

So I guess basically I'm just posting my (practical) wish list as it stands as of now... assuming nothing new comes out... again... :D

SAR4
CABS
BATAC
SAR6

I'm a slave to practical, realistic, average sized knives. We wont even get into the knives I've sold that I want to eventually repurchase **cough** PUMPKIN SAR8 **cough**

Great list, I agree with you on the BATAC and the SAR6, but WHERE IS THE FOLDER?!?!?!? Come on!!! :D

My busse wish list is as follows, in order:

1. BUSSE FOLDER!
2. FBM / FFBM / NMFBM
3. SFNO / NMSFNO
4. SAR 8
5. SAR 6
6. Meaner
7. Active Duty

Man, if you don't have a Ratmandu... now is the time. They are ready for immediate delivery over at the rat store. It's damn near perfect... and cannot be beat for the money.

It ain't infi, but you can buy a Ratmandu and a HRLM for cheaper than one piece of infi... and besides the stain resistance I can't tell the difference in performance. They are excellent.

If you gotta have INFI, go with a SAR5... plenty of blade, no choil! ;)

Come on dude... do you anyone with a 1400+ post count, that DOESN'T have a Ratmandu?:D I'm way ahead of you. Its the best damn knife that size that isn't INFI

SAR5 = :barf:

My HOGSJTACLE seems a little thicker than my Ash SE and heavier duty. It is close to the same length as the ASH but is thinner from edge to spine, so it feels a little more compact for some reason. My wish list for larger than sar3 but smaller than fbm is:
NMSFNOLE
SFNO
BATAC
Hell Razor
Tank Buster
(still really want a war boar and a SS CGFBM too)

Sell all you have and get these:

1. CG SHBM and not a 1-300 the clip doesn't make for as good a user.

2. BA-III a thin one if you can find it, regular ones are fine too.

3. The thin active duty BAD, or the old saber grinds that were thin

4. A skinny ASH, or a ASH LE, or the Sarsquatch

5. For a smaller knife the (1)Little Ugly or (2)Game Warden.

There those and a folder are all you'll ever need and after 5-10 years all you'll want :D

The most perfect knife from Busse is. . . the next one, whatever it is. LOL

I will say this - 99% of my uses are with a 3" folding blade. I don't even get much of a chance to CARRY a fixed knife, let alone anything of size.

I love the Boss Jack, but honestly won't use it much. My modd'd SAR5 could see some duty, but, again, my Snake AD would be more appropriate 95% of the time.

I need a hobby that requires more knife work. LOL

I wish I had a Straight handled Battle mistress. I don't.

I do have a Basic 11, which works.

I also wish I had a BAIII. I don't.

I do have a BAD, which I love.

I am waiting on the CABS to ship. I know it is no BAIII, but it has a great handle, no choil, and thin blade. The BAIII blade shape is better to my eye.

I had an Ash1, which I sold. I now have a Sarsquatch, which I convexed, and it is a great mid sized user so far. Love it.

As to the GW, I sold mine to a great fellow in Australia.

I figured it was close enough in size to the BAD, that I could use the money elsewhere. Between the BAD and CABS I think I have my small infi needs covered.

I have a KZII with a convex edge for just plain destroying things. I sold my FBMLE that was modded, since I had the KZII and the B11.

Now, as to the folder.............................I'm still waiting.

I have a 5k post count, and don't have a single Swamprat or Scrapyard........not that I don't want some!

So far I have not been able to make it out of the Infi money pit!

I'd love a CGSHBM. Got one you could sell me at a price I could justify using it. :D:p:cool:

I think the CABS will do what the BAIII and AD will do and maybe better. Plus at half the cost you can't go wrong. Don't get me wrong, I have both of those and they are here to stay.

adrock, I would highly suggest the BOSS Jack in that pack. One of my favorites.

I have many more Ratmandu's and SAR5's than I have hands. :D

When something great likes that comes along I always buy plenty of them just in case I grow more hands. ;)

You might also want to try a Meaner Street or Leaner Meaner - I like both the handle and blade size/shape on these.
