The wonderful Bic lighter?

This is so true for me. I don't put lanyards on my knives, but at some get togethers a lanyard may be needed for my lighter.

That's how I don't lose it

What do people think about clipper lighters - They seem as reliable as Bics BUT are refillable and the flint can be replaced also.

For those that like Zippo , I bought a Thunderbird insert for my Zippo

Refillable with butane , has a safety flame instead of a jet flame just like a regular Zippo.

Clippers were the stoners lighter of choice back in the UK, they last a while but often the striker wheel disintegrates. I have that insert in my zippo too, I really like it.

I carried a Bic for a long time to use at work (never smoked), I used it to light the oxy/acc torch - not a wise thing to do necessarily but that was at the old job years ago, then at the new job, I am in a position of promoting safety so I just quit carrying it since I didn't use it for that purpose.
I did find an old adjustable one in a drawer the other day. I have no Idea how long its been there, possibly close to 10 years, about the time I moved in - maybe?
I think after reading this post I will head out to buy a few and stash them all over.

I use Bics exclusively. I always remove the safety lock from them, the extra metal tab, otherwise i find it gets way too hot. Much easier to use without it. My favorite color is far and away brown.
