Good grief.... I think that fully 60% of my knife collection has some kind of wharncliffe on it, either primary, or secondary..
I prefer my wharn's to be on the shorter, more blunt side, rather than long and sleek. Something about like this imported swayback..

My beloved GEC Viper -- old no.34, from 2014 -- is my only traditional Wharncliffe. It's a great utility cutter, and the blade shape perfectly complements the Swayback handle.

I'd post a picture of my beloved old Case swayback gent, but I am ashamed to expose myself after carelessly rounding off the tip on the sharpmaker - instead here's a picture of my old reliable Case Mini Copperhead and a new addition - the GEC 62 Congress -- the Case really packs a lot of blade comparatively!
