THe Woodchuck

I will have a batch of 18 or more finished next Friday. Just like every week.

Yessir! Actual name was "Young Bert, the not-right dog." To the day he died, he acted the adolescent. :)

(He was so pleased this day. He was on the yard lead, and this stupid woodchuck decided that, even after months of threatening barking, that YB was benign. Turns out to have been a bad judgement. ;) )

Looking forward to new design. (and one very, very, very old one. :) hinthintnudgenudge
 
It's next week already, where are the pictures? :p Just kidding, Only 5 more days. :D
 
I grew up hunting Dirt Pigs..... bows, rifles, pistols, shotguns, garden hoes, pitchforks, bricks and rocks. Grandpa used to eat them but I did not care for them.

Excited to see the FFF version.

Well, I'm very excited about this design. I have three coming out this week. A Scandi one and two convexes. I can't wait for y'all to see them. I drew this knife at the dinner table. Leah is used to this. I guess I get a look on my face and then jump up to go get paper and pencil. I get done with the sketch, and she says, "It looks just like all your other knives." I said, "Leah, this one is a sheepsfoot." She doesn't know what a sheepsfoot is though, and it doesn't matter. She's right. I have drawn another 4" bladed and 4.5" handled bushcrafting knife.

I used to play cards with a local knifemaker. I have only one knife from him and it was drawn on a napkin during a game. When inspiration strikes, it is best to record it.

I shaped the handle on three Woodchucks today!! Lookin good.
 
In unfortunate news, I have decided to keep all the Woodchucks this week, and a Duke too. Plus, I am keeping a bunch of SS knives. I don't want to sell anything this week.

Some weeks just flow. I love that. No chasing at all this week.

Truth is I can't keep any of these because I want them in y'alls hands cutting things and telling people about the knife. I'm excited to show them today though.

The blade design sounds like one of my favorites. Can't wait to see what y'all do with it!
