I contemplated this giveaway long and hard last night. Before I get to the prize I’d like to explain my reasoning.

I have been known to buy meals for those less fortunate, when the opportunity arises. If I am at a diner or cafe and see someone come in who seems to be in a hard place, I will almost always discretely ask the server to let me pay their bill.
It has never been for recognition, or gratitude, but it is simply that I recognize an immediate need in the world that I have the ability to help solve.

This sub forum is largely made up of the same kind of people. Most of y’all are generous beyond words, and reach past the typed words on the screen to connect with the lives of one another. This last forum knife has caused a pretty noticeable ripple in some of that, and it IS a pretty nice knife- but that’s all it is, a knife. This giveaway is my attempt at a “show of good faith” to the traditional section, that the forum knife represents more than a nice pocket accessory.

Now, the prize:

To the winner, I’ll be sending out my personal 2021 forum knife. It has excellent walk and talk, fantastic f&f, and is just barely starting to get character. I have also made a belt sheath, which I’ll also send out along with the tube and pin. It truly is a wonderful knife, I just prefer multiple blades, so it’s on to my next search!

Here’s the catch-
I have done some “scale work” for two reasons. The first is to prevent flippers from further staining a well meaning giveaway by posting it at 15 trillion pesos on eBay, and the second is to remind the recipient that “the world is round” and that more important than any material item is the good will towards others.

The only stipulation is that you must have been eligible to buy the forum knife in the original order. I will draw names this coming Tuesday and I WILL VET the winner to make sure they are eligible.

Thanks all!

Love the idea! Not in as mine is still on the way and this should go to someone who missed out. The anti-flipper protection is fantastic and actually looks pretty cool!

Not an entry.
I was eligible to get one, aside from a lack of funds. However, like you, I prefer at least 2 blades. Additionally, I think I probably have enough Barlows as it is, to last me longer than I have left.
A beautiful knife. :)
Good luck to all who enter. :)

I would like to be in on this as I don't have any blade forums knife and would really like one, thank you for the chance.

That is very generous of you, sadly I hadn't the correct of amount of posts at the time of ordering.

I wish we could go back to some of the old values, the fact you had to mark the knife in case someone sold it on saddens me.

Nowadays it seems like a lot of people have no shame, but and its a big but there are still good people around.

Literally just a random symbol I came up with trying to embody the idea of “pay it forward”

Everyone is the center of their world, but we can’t forget there’s people all around us going through their own issues! Whiskey might have been enlightening my “creativity”

you do that too eh? ive been doing a lot of wax sculpting lately with bourbon to assist my creativity

It looks a little like the symbol Prince used.

Words from Shane McGowan

The canals and the bridges, the embankments and cuts
They blasted and dug with their sweat and their guts
They never drank water but whiskey by pints
And the shanty towns rang with their songs and their fights

Not an entry as I plan to give mine away at some point too.
Super nice of you to do it. I believe that members are feeling more giving after the chaos of the Forum Knife drop. It would be nice to see this one go to a Porch Member that wasn't able to get one, or a Porch Member that has a yearly tradition of buying two so they can give one to a relative.
