The worst time you got bit?

Nobody tops this guy:

I like what the chic in the red says, "Please don't cut your hand, I'm not a nurse yet."

Asymmetrical grind? Dayum.

I don't think so, just poor form and plenty of beer. :D It looks like a United Cutlery Black Ronin "wakizashi" (I think they call it the "Slimline Machete" now), which I used to have. If so, then it's a symmetrical tanto grind.

Cold Steel Ti-Lite 6", fooling around opening and closing, got distracted and closed it on the back of my right forefinger just below the nail.

Nothing too bad, but I do have a straight scar across there.

I put the tip of a Boye dendritic folder into a contact wheel.

The knife immediately was torn from my hand, the handle smashed my lip and the guard buried itself in my cheek and then bounced off. I had to stop working on it to perform superglue surgery.

Still have the scar on my cheek....if fate worked another way, it might have killed me.

Somewhere there is a pic on BFC of a pretty decent self-inflicted stab with a Jason Knight damascus fighter to my left hand.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I was just joking, but I hope that fella is okay. And that chick kinda looks like one of my exes. Explains why she was so nonchalant about it. Haha.

1974 wife cut up roast with Schrade Walden ,,, going to shop in backyard to get small pic to remove meat before folding back up,,,,,caught lanyard in door as I closed it while eating apple in right hand,,,, fell back on blade as it fell back on door knob edge up,,,,,, 2-1/2 hours in surgery to reattach thumb while Doc told me I was very good at sharpening!!!! He said I came within about 1/32nd of an inch of paralyzingly my hand!!!! Took a long time to regain any feeling in my index finger !!! It's just been in the last few years I have put any lanyards back on any knife and am very careful !!!!

I've had a few incidents requiring a couple of stitches. On one occasion, I was cutting a piece of beef I was holding towards myself with a knife that wasn't very sharp and so I was using a lot of force, the knife slipped, and about 10 stitches and a tetanus shot later I was really regretting that decision.

For the knife enthusiast, I want to strongly advocate....

got bit & hammered
cut in my temple while sleeping ...
guess i fell asleep with a knife in hand but some how wasn't aware i did that
so middle of night i turn left and i felt something pinching my left temple but that didn't fully woke me
what woke me is i was getting really wet, so i turn on light and all floor was bloody, i go to mirror and i so
where the damn epicenter tip slipped in shallow angel under my skin in my temple... it was bad but still could have bean far worst!
Imagine going in middle of night to an ER.. and then try explain how you got cut, i was too dazed & sleepy to make something up
so i got the sort of looks you can imagine:p.. :stupid:

second time the damn epicenter slipped & fell on the back of my foot when it was closed
for 10 minutes i was shipped to hell from agonizing pain, but no fracture ...

thats the only issues ive head with knifes, both from the damn Boker Epicenter.:D

Yeah they weren't able to reattach it so they just stuck it up my ass. Its been there ever since. Maybe I should be a politician.

Dam that's funny.
I sharpened my hunting buddy's knife for him. Me him & a friend all had deer down. As he was splitting the ribs some how he cut his hand in the web between the thumb and index finger. Tough SOB wraps it in his shirt & goes to get the truck. Helps us drag the deer to it and we drive to the emergency care clinic. You should have seen the look on their face when the three of us walk in with blood to the elbows. After I tell them it's just him all they do is hand him a form & say " here fill this out". With his right hand all wrapped up. So I filled it out.
I think it was 11 stitches. I'm thinking yep I sharpened that. :D

.

Whittling with an Izula, 3 Internal stitches and 17 around the edge, the injected local anesthesia doesn't work on me (doesn't work at the dentist either) so the stitches actually hurt worse than the cut. As soon as I cut it I put pressure on the wound and started heading over to the car to bandage it up, when I felt the two sides sliding back and forth on each other I figured I would probably need stitches instead of a band-aid.

Girlfriend swung open door to the garage where I had just washed off her custom ordered BM Griptillian in the deep sink and was drying blade off with my shirt, who uses towels, went in a bit over 3/4 of an inch.

I have a thing against needles, and common sense, so no stitches or doctors needed.
Just some butterfly stitches, gauze, and some athletic tape.

Severed all the tendons in my left hand except the thumb. Stupid mistake at work cutting thru a zip tie while off balance. I kept the cheap knife since it cost about 80k in surgery. Thank god workmans comp covers stupidity.

First time ive ever had my finger stitched back together.. Glue always suficed before. I got a little careless at work with the bread knife having a conversation. A Long week in the kitchen takes its tolls. No worries I cleaned everything thing up with bleach and threw out what i had to before leaving for the er

My gf got bit by my Manix 2 Saturday, using it to open one of those dayquil blister packs. Small cut on her thumb.
