The "WOUNDED BADGER"

is there a story behind this i dont know.how was it wounded??was it hit with a bullet??

we saw a pic of a DCDM that was shot with a .45.it had a good indent in it but was still usable for sure

This knife was still the LEO's user after it was wounded. If the finish wasn't missing , you would never know that this knife was shot by a bullet. No indent, not bent. It's basically as perfect as the day it left Busse.

hotrod,

Congrats on acquiring one of the most memorable pieces of Busse history I have ever heard about. I was fortunate to see it years ago and meet the owner, wow!

Interestingly enough, there was a foreign soldier whose life was also saved by his Busse per his claim, but I can't remember where, when, or the circumtances. It might have been a post here but I think it was in print. It had a picture of him holding his Busse in civi attire across his chest with his right hand laterally.

I think it was that he got entangled in some way and cut himself free. Cutaway for the second parachute, or SCUBA diving entanglement maybe? Maybe some of you internet savvy HOG's could find it.

Jerry might remember it. I just remember the caption said "Busse Saved My Life" and had the story. He was in a European military I think.
