Hey guys!

I just wanted to say BIG THANKS to all who came to my (and a few others) defense when this situation came up.

It is nice to know we look out for each other like that. We might have come across a bit on the harsh side, BUT, if anybody was thinking of screwing somebody else over on here, I bet they are thinking twice now. hehe

Do I think Yiterp tried to rip me off?

Well...no, I don't think so. And I have apologized to him for my harshness. ...The circumstances are awful shady and I still have not received the knife that was promised. But, he has kept in contact and he did send me the $50.

In my opinion, he should NOT have done the following;

1)Sell my knives BEFORE I received his and agreed that they were as described.

2)Changed his name in the middle of conflict to appear as someone else and keep selling/trading.

3)Not respond to all of the complaints on this board. Appearing to have "ridden off into the sunset".

4)Let it go this far without totally squaring up with me.

I highly value my reputation on this and a couple of other boards I participate in and could not imagine acting in the way he has. BUT, I don't THINK he intentionally tried to shaft me.

I will keep everyone informed on how long it takes for him to square up, but I feel pretty confident he will do so soon.
Again, many thanks to my fellow Forumites!!

Well...On Friday, April 6th, I received the knife.

The Priority envelope it came in is crumpled up, ripped, has abraisions all over it, and a couple of holes. It has no Post Mark stamped on it anywhere. However, it is stamped "Rewrapped at AMC Atlanta, Ga 30320-9741. I am guessing at the last two numbers because they are smeared.

I don't have a clue what the H** happened. The box to the Boker is damaged in a few places, but the knife is as described.

Steve, I have apologized to you for jumping the gun too soon and I do so again. But I hope you have learned a lesson in Forum etiquette. When you have a problem with someone, don't change your identity and try to be slick. Also, when trading, make SURE the other party has received his end and is satisified before you sell the ones he sent you.
