The Zowada is nearing

I prefer my Zowada...

Sweet Lord! One of the rare examples of form and function!

Got mine today. Very nice overall. Solid as a rock with those steel liners. Noticed the weight before I even had it out of the packing box. Excellent fit and finish. Great edge and I love the swedge. Should get plenty of pocket time this week.

Praxis, how did the tip turn out on yours? Mine has a poorly ground tip so I ended up with a chisel grind tip. Take a look from the spine and downwards. Otherwise, it's the one knife in the 2010 catalog that I had to have.

Dsmegst, I'd say the tip looks pretty good on my Zowada. The grinds may not be 100% even when viewed from the spine, but the tip isn't chisel ground. A little use and one or two touchups on a Sharpmaker should even it out. Sounds like you may need to exchange yours, sorry.

Man, I really hate having to do that. it looks fine from the sides, but from the spine, it's easy to see the problem. A part of me keeps telling me I should just suck it up and keep it since it IS a tool and it will function just fine as is. But for a NIB $120 knife, I shouldn't have to worry about such a thing. Maybe I'll talk to the retailer and see if he can help me out.
