Second, the knife I got in the mail yesterday after work. The edge is wrecked and the tip is gone, not to mention the scratches on the blade and it looks like a dog chewed on the handle.

Wow, T Thedude315 either needs glasses, or he purposely mislead possible buyers on the condition of his knives. That Delica looks like it was hammered through a bunch of paint can lids, and then cleaned with steel wool, after which it was knocked on the ground and gnawed on. "Rarely used", my rear end. Like AntDog AntDog said, another for the ignore list.
 
Yeah, that's a bad one. I'd want my money back. Surely, he could have posted better pictures, but obviously he posted them in such a way that you couldn't see the damage to the knife. Give him a chance to make it right, if he doesn't, I'd leave some warranted negative feedback. Shady for sure IMO.

Yeah, the qualifier of "that I can see" on the blade imperfections and the manner in which the pictures were taken makes it clear of the seller's intent. Thanks for the warning OP.
 
I asked the other buyer what his experience was and He said it needed a Sharpening but overall it was good. So I’m glad to hear that.

This is my take as well. Good pictures/video also protects you as a seller. No one is going to believe you in a situation like this when a $30 cellphone takes sufficiently clear pictures these days. And these were uploaded to Imgur, not scaled down to fit the forum's restrictions, so that's no excuse.
 
I "fixed" a broken tip once by grinding dorn the spine tp create a "new" point, but I never tried to sell it as "no imperfections." It's in my car tool box. And the Fraud and Family red flag. :thumbsdown:|

I know friends and family and family is the new in thing, but this is why its a bad idea.
 
He logged in yesterday afternoon and it showed he was “engaged in conversation” but never replied to my PM or this thread and would have had notifications for both.

I know F&F is a gamble, I probably have a little to much faith in people. I don’t expect much will come of this and I didn’t start this thread to get anything out of it. I only started it once I got the reply/reaction I got when I confronted him about it and I wanted others to be aware in case he puts up more adds.

I did as Boru13 Boru13 asked and will wait and see what happens.

Yes, sorry, wasn't trying to make you feel worse about an already crappy situation. I've got one of these going on myself. My post was really more of an emphasis for all those folks who are on here saying that they will only take Friends and Family. I certainly don't want to derail your thread and I hope you come to a good resolution. I've got one of these same sorts of threads going myself at the moment so I am definitely sympathetic to your situation!
