Knife OAL; 13 inches
Blade; 8 1/4 inches ATS 34 steel hollow ground with distal taper.Blade is hand sanded to 600 grit with a satin finish.File work on spine with swedge that is not sharpened.
Handle; Pristine piece of Elephant ivory with ZERO flaws that I hand carved into a Morel Mushroom.Guard is a piece of black acrylic with a brass spacer and the guard is file worked.
Display; The display is a piece of very old Moose antler that I cleaned then buffed and (Moose was harvested in 1918 in northern BC....No not by me.I"m not quite that old
) that I hand carved four Morel Mushrooms on and I scrimshawed a Morel scene in the palm of the antler.The antler with the Morels stands 14 inches high.The display along with three single hand carved Morels sits on a piece of black acrylic.
Yes this piece is expensive but after 353 documented hours $2500.00 is a steal of a deal.If there is a buyer interested I will furnish photos of the project from the start to the finish.
