Sadly, there are [trades and sales] that go bad. NOT due to any error on the part of the shipping folks, but due to a PURPOSEFUL ACT on behalf of one party to steal the property or money of the other party.
If it did NOT include E-mail promises of delivery methods, details of WHEN and how they were to be shipped, and then the IMPRESSION the item in FACT is in transit; this is the same as walking into someone's HOME and just taking a KNIFE, minus the DECEPTIVE impression that an actual transaction has taken place.
THEN, after some period of time, the [Victim] discovers that his side of the [trade or sale] has NOT arrived, or an EMPTY package arrives, or something MUCH different than agreed upon arrives. Initially, this is a PURE civil issue and the appropriate redress would be in [generally] Small Claims Court.
THERE are quite a few Attorneys that are knifeknuts who ARE reading this right now. JUMP in if ANY of the above is NOT accurate. This [trade or sale] changes it's complextion upon the VICTIM making inquiry about the staus of his end of the "deal" and is TOLD INTENTIONALLY something VERY false in order for the Non-Victim to be unjustly enriched. IN SHORT, ONE guy ends up with two knives, the other's MONEY, or has sent a $50.00 POS for a NICE Custom piece.
THIS has nothing to do with "knife dealing etiquitte". WE can debate that some other day. This has to do with the REALITY of being [SCAMMED]
SOME formites just plain HATE this and have the time, knowledge, and NATIONAL LE connections to help bring this matter to FINAL Justice. CAN these folks, who have extented a helping hand, provide the actual solution to the problem? NO, not in a REAL sense, but these folks sure do know how the [system] works and in the final anaylsis of this "deal gone bad" can certainly help to provide circumstantial evidence to YOU, the JURY of OUR PEERS, in making that decision if a REAL SCAM did take place.
So, what is so wrong with extending that helping hand to get to the end of a pissing contest and have some REAL solid evidence to either make a knowledged decision whether YOU want to have any dealing with this person, or if really victimized, take this to the next level; a Law Enforcement Agency to have Justice administered the American way.
