After the Arkansas Show I checked my luggage in at the United Express. I was way too early but had nothing better to do than to walk around the airport and wait for my flight. TSA had over 3 hours to inspect my bag. When I reached Home I opened it to find my slipjoint wasnt there. Here is a shot of it so please keep your eyes open on the market for it. If somebody is good at Craigs list for Little Rock area please monitor that oK? Its valued at $400 and I'm offering a $100 reward for its return.

I've contacted the TSA and filed a report also turned in a claim to United Express. I'm going to contact the Little Rock PD for a report just in case a crack user gets arrested with it in his pocket.

Here is what it looks like:
It is numbered 042 on the right side of the ricasso. It was stored in a small black zippered pouch.

This drives me up a wall.
Is anything safe from the TSA?
Buncha CROOKS!
We will keep an eye out for it.

I never really liked TSA staff and have found them to be unprofessional at times. I did have one great experience with a TSA member who was very charismatic and friendly and actually started a brief conversation with him. Aside from that never really liked TSA much.

There was a story done by my local news awhile back that I think relates to this topic very well....

Apologizes to the OP if I didn't take this matter serious enough.

That knife is quite unique.Hopefully it will turn up on ebay or someplace and you will get it back. What a crappy way to end a show.Sorry this happened.

Stories like this are why instead of checking any baggage, I ship it to my destination and back home if at all possible. Adds some extra steps, but not waiting for luggage more than makes up for it. I really hope they catch whoever took it. Anyone willing to lose their job over a knife doesn't deserve the job. Sad thing is that the person who took it probably has no idea of it's value and probably thought the owner figured it wouldn't be worth the trouble of reporting it missing. I'm sorry for your loss.

As for the story of the TSA agent stealing the Ipad, that's classic. Not only did he take an item that can be tracked via GPS, he blames his wife for it. Shows the quality of character of the people TSA is employing.

Sorry to hear this, Bruce. Unfortunately, it's not just the TSA that has access to your luggage (both prior to departure and upon arrival). There are many hands that have access to checked baggage and any one of these could be the culprit.

I sure hope you get your knife back and the guilty party is punished for his or her transgression.

Thanks for letting us know, Ken. It must have slipped Bruce's mind to post the relevant info here. Looks like we can close this one down now.
