Bummer!! This is one of the reasons my "Car blade" is typically a cold steel machete and a special forces shovel and a Cold Steel Tomahawk.
All cheap and easily replaceable!!

I do have to leave a firearm in a vehicle (in a tethered safe) and I am always worried!!

Someone cut a tethered small pistol safe out of my friend’s car. It was quite a decent cable too. They were determined.

All it takes is decent bolt cutters. The cable is not theft proof, just makes it a bit harder for a looking loo to just grab and walk away with it.
