Their can be only one. (pic heavy)

Excellent post! Is that treated lumber in that fire? Isn't that stuff full of cyanide?

Great review, thank you for conducting and sharing. I'm going to be greedy and ask if it has occurred to baton some wood with the smaller blades, or do you normally do that?

Just wondering about performance on that level.

I thought that was a terrific review of 3 of my favorite knives. Are the edge's the same on all 3 knives? I love the look of the Howlers fat blade but I think the SS4 is a bit more usefull. I have been EDCing my SS4 since I got it and I will never go back to folders. I am surprised the edge rolled as I batoned mine through hard dry wood several times and it would still cut hair. That was with the stock obtuse edge angle though.

Great review! Excellent pics. Thanks for sharing!
Did you thin the SS4 edge? If so how much? Were the edges on all knives the same in thickness? Is SS4 edge convex? Howler and F1 origianlly have convex edges. Was it modified?
Thanks

Excellent review!!! Fallkniven and Busse (et.al.) are among the most serious companies and it shows. VG-10 for a stainless is performing great.

thanks for the great review!

I also reprofiled my knives to 20-25 degrees, but I do a small convex edge.

during my tests with Scrapper 4 I found no edge rolling during bone chopping :) I love this knife! :)

Great review! It's good to see a test that didn't involve concrete blocks, assaults on metal chairs, or two story drop tests. Clear, practical, and conclusive.

I would hazard a guess and say that the rabbit bones didn't roll the edge, but is was whatever was UNDER the bones that served as your chopping block.

.

Sorry guys, didn't notice all the posts.

Great review! Excellent pics. Thanks for sharing!

All edges were ground to a 20deg V Grind.

Doubtful, the chopping block is wood and has been used to quarter game for almost 20 years in my family. I've never rolled an edge with it before.
