I'm just reading "Designation Gold" from R. Marcinko and guess what???

He FINALLY made a right choice with his knife. After all this bragging about that overrated 'you-know-what-I-mean' knife, he now uses a SPYDERCO, but of course doesn't mention which model. It seems he has learned something.
 
Some are just a little slower on the uptake than others.
Hey, I have an idea. Marcinko is coming here(Ft. Lewis) next week, maybe I will just ask him which model he prefers. What do you say to that Danelle?
Maybe I could tell you and you could use it in your next contest, Hmmm?

Just got back from meeting the man himself.
I must say he seems like a great guy. Very funny too.
Anyway, I asked him which model he carries/carried and he said it varies, but had on him an H&K Q model(more airport friendly he said) He even showed it to me. Says he uses it for everything.
You gotta meet this guy.

If you get a chance, get to a bookstore and ask for books by Richard Marcinko.
He is a former Navy Seal who has basically set the standard for future generations and writes about his advenures.
Most of his books are fictionalized, but he is the real deal. Great guy too.

Which of his books do you recommend for a first read?
 
I have all of the books Rouge Warrior is the first book. Also his new book Option Delta he also uses a Spydie. I would like to see his books become movies. I think that they would be expensive to produce sets are that way and they will destroy a few. He has a new book but I can't think of the name right now it is about the real team. My wife's uncle served with Dick on Team 2.

Don't know about his books becoming movies but I have heard that he is working on a computer game along the lines of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six. Not sure if this is based on his books or he is just consulting on tactics, etc.
