I like the idea of kit Khukuris. Great for those who want to customize their own Khukuri. Also, someone mentioned about the tips of the Khukuris being pointy. Personally I like the pointy tips, it seems to make the Khukuri more intimidating. The rounded type tips screams workers tool. Take care Uncle Bill!

How about starting an annual contest in Nepal where the best khukuris made during the year are judged before Dasein and then bought by HI to be made available to their clients for purchase? This would encourage kamis to do their best and would bring them to the attention of BirGhorka which I hope would consider offering employment to the best.

That's a great idea, Harry, but I'm not sure how we could spread the word to remote villages. Maybe via Radio Nepal. Sure couldn't do it with the written word.

I think initially the contest could be done in the area around BirGorkha, where ever BirGorkha gets its supplies, and via the visiting kami program. I think that within a few years, Nepal would be covered.
