There's two guys here who you should know about.

Will,

Maybe you should have asked them before you made this post.

It's great when people do this.

I think they do it on an individual bases and not as a general rule.

They must have been impressed with you.

Now everybody who deals with them are going to expect the same thing.

I have had sellers ship knives before they received my money too, but I didn't tell everybody.

I would be afraid of the wrong characters buying knives from them and not paying.

I had one guy sell me a knife and when I asked where to send the check; he said the address would be on the knife package he was sending me.

He wanted to be sure I liked the knive before I paid for it.

Rick,
Just two things:
1) I hope that they were impressed with me. I sincerely hope it's clear to everyone who I deal with, in knives or anything else, that my word is my bond.

2) I think that both of these guys are intelligent enough to realize just who they can do business with on the strenth of a promise to pay, and who they can't take the same chance on.

i tend to agree with rick. i know mike personally, have broken bread with him, buffed each other's bald heads[ remember the pics?

], and consider it an honor to call him a friend. i too have posted details of some transactions, but it is also true that at times, discretion is the better part of valor.

as to having enough sense to know who you can and can't put the same faith in, remember this monitor screen, as well as a phoneline, is basically one dimensional. you can't always assess someone thoroughly through these types of communication. i'm sure you meant no harm, your zeal just got the best of you. but as i said, i agree with rick.

Rick and Russ,
I have deleted my post with the names of the guys who sent me the knives prior to getting my money orders. Maybe you're both right, however I have received an e-mail from one of the guys who I mentioned thanking me for the kind words.
I didn't mean to cause anyone any trouble. I just wanted to congratulate two very good guys.

Will,

I think that was a good idea.

I was going to suggest that, but I thought the moderators would take care of it.

It seems the moderators didn't answer you.

I felt the same way when I was shipped knives before they received the money.

If someone will ship a knife before receiving payment; ask if they will except a check.

M.O. are a pain for me to get.

If they believe you are going to pay; they should take your check.
