Thermite: BladeHQ Called "Mine's In"

Very nice pics oregon. Do you know if I would be able to easily de-assist it? If so I might just need to pick one up. It has the looks of a much more expensive knife.

Thank you. I really enjoy seeing pics of knives so I get inspired by forum members to try hard on the photos.

De-assist isn't my cuppa. I collect, specialize in, production folders that appeal to me and keep them as they came from the factory (except for an occasional pocket clip flip for a user, most of my knives are for accumulation and not use). More power to the manglers/wrenches here that adulterate their knives to fit their needs. I admire the imagination and skill demonstrated here on the forums by enthusiasts who evolve production knives. Yes I do.

The Thermite and the Cryo both look the business. They are both real knives. Not sharpened bits of metal masquerading as cutlery. Uh uh. The real goods.

Story/sidebar: Buck sold a knife (Bucklock), years ago, that had problems so they recalled it. Most returned the knife for a refund. Today that knife goes, in pristine condition, for over 10 times its original cost. Knives as investment? Maybe. What do you get from your savings account as interest rate...

Awesome. Thank you for the quick response! I'll be up in Austin this weekend and they have a Cabela's around there. Hopefully I can take a look at the Thermite and Cryo 2.

In Round Rock just north of Austin there is a new Gander Mountain, just off of 45 & IH35. You might also want to hit up GT Distribution if in austin. Cabela's does have the thermite, didn't see cryo 2. that was earlier this week. good luck on the hunt!

Hey man, thanks for the headsup! I'm not from that area, so I really appreciate the info :D If I find something, I'm dedicating my purchase to you haha.

I bent the pocket clip getting up from a bench catching the tip of the clip on the metal arm rest just a bit. Today I straightened the clip, covering the clip with the towel you see and bending the clip in a towel-lined vise plus I flattened the tip of the clip so that it is not so proud when clipped into my right front jean's pocket and a little less in harm's way. I used the Kershaw tool, the smallest bit to work the clip screws. One of the screws was a bit rounded off on the inside where the tool goes so that is a candidate for a new screw from Kershaw, just down the street a piece from me.
