these are cool...

I like the fact it breaks down. I do have to admit the price is intimidating. I'm going to have to convert a coffee can and see what I can do.

Looks like somthing I made out of a coffee can when I was younger. It worked o.k., But not as good as gas.

9.5oz on the little one! That's really good.

I have a Sierra Zip stove I really like but I think it's like a pound.

Just made up my own in about half an hour with some aluminum sheeting I had.

I made a smaller version similar to the junior. 6" tall 5 1/2" diameter.

It boiled water in about 6 minutes. It is VERY windy here today but it did well as long as I kept feeding it with fuel. At first I tried a large pot but it blocked off all air circulation and the flame went out. I'm sure with a plan and more time you could make a more solid stove.

The aluminum was a little thin. My pot supports melted!

VERY COOL INDEED.... great work once again B....:D

Seems like it would be a PITA to pack and carry those cans? Bruche you the man! Use a couple of ss bike spokes in the heavier guage like I did and your pot supports won't melt.

Haven't done it personally, but coat-hanger wire comes to mind as well.

That's a great idea. Would save more weight and you could have multiple holes for different heights. The sides didn't seem to get super hot.

I've been using a Littlbug Junior Stove for over 3 years. It's one rugged stove. I've had it hot enough for the stainless steel to glow orange without it being damaged. What I like best about it is that my purchase helped provide jobs for folks with disabilities - I like supporting companies with values like that.

From the page:

uniquely designed to wrap around a sleeping pad for easy storage and transport.

OK, that is pretty cool. I wonder what size/type of pad them mean though. Mine packs short and fat, so I doubt it would work, but I like that they design it to pack small.

Sometimes I knock up one of these to keep a nest toasty and boil water. I could just span a couple of pegs across the top and stand the kettle on that, but I cut a disk from a wire cake cooling rack. That gives me a makeshift grill to put things in foil on. Works best as a mini-brazier when fed coal.

Fill a coffee can full of water and freeze it so when you whack the nail holes in it doesn't cave.
