Awww, man, I don't even know where to begin, so I'll just begin.
I am reading things here that just don't compute!
If you're posting here in defense of the "Usual Suspect" title, then you most likely ARE a Suspect!
How many times has it been stated that custom ownership is NOT required??? MANY times, over and over again.
I considered myself a Suspect LONG before I ever acquired my first custom. Why? Because I can totally grasp the sensation involved with acquiring the first Emerson Knife that really does it for you. As soon as you open that first crushed (or uncrushed?!?!) box and withdraw an Emerson blade that gives you that feeling of "Ohhh yeah, this piece is RIGHT" then you're a Suspect! As soon as you read the thoughts of another Suspect and you think "Yeah, right on, brother!" then you're a Suspect! As soon as you feel that you're within a group of people who think like YOU do tactically, then you're a Suspect.
Tactical nature. The difference between right and wrong. The yearning for blades that will get the job done when the chips are down. Do you feel the sense of such things? Then you're a Suspect!
I AM a Suspect because I love EKI knives, and because I totally relate to the mentality of other Suspects. Period.
It's a state of mind. It's an appreciation of people who take control of their own security and of other people who choose to do the same. If I'm wrong here, PLEASE correct me, Suspects. Suspects are the type of guys who would back-up another guy in a defensive situation as long as "the right thing to do" was paramount and above all else.
There are MANY friends to be made here amongst Suspects. I am currently committing mucho dollars AND mucho dollars of Suspect friends in order to prove that my theories of "Usual Suspects" are correct. I can't name them all right here because there are so many, but guys like Hollister, Rearic, Ross, Scott, Seth, Seth, Seth, Sniper, Bob, Ray, Chris, Chris, Larry, Michael, Lance, Ernie, Derek, Derek, Oliver, Jonas, Joel, Ed,...and....the list is ENDLESS! These guys ARE Suspects!
So. What IS a Usual Suspect? It's a guy who loves quality tactical knives, with a strong Emerson influence. It's a guy who enjoys the company of other guys who feel the same way. It's a guy who can look at the world and say to himself "I'm concerned about the security of me and mine in this frigged-up world. I'm proud to associate myself with others who feel the same way, and I therefore call these "others" both friends and Suspects.
THIS is what makes a Suspect a Suspect.
This....is pretty much all it takes.
If you want to be a Suspect, or if you think that you're a Suspect, then you probably are a Suspect. In fact,....I'd BET that you're a Suspect.
