They call me...

I need to weigh it again to be sure but if I recall correctly the holes lightened it by about 1/2 ounce. I better check though...

I tried holes, milling and a .125" carbon fiber frame side... the CF is so light it brings the knife down to about 4 ounces.

I also checked out Jason Clark's work, it looks good! I had a Tekna Dive Knife back in about 1987 and it is always what I think of with the holes and then Mayo... he is the man! :D

:D

1/2 oz. is a big difference.

i always think of them as Mayo holes,
ever since the evening i asked Mr. Mayo how i could get on his waiting list.
the look he gave me drilled a perfect set of them right through me!

I agree, a half ounce makes a big difference. The holes also add a nice amount of grip without being too aggressive.

I bet that is a tough list to get on! :D

I like how the dimpling on the lock bar follows the hole motif
Thanks! I did the dimpling on the inside too so they can be seen through the holes.

Folder of the Year.
Tanto or not. ;)
Thanks Rolf! Year of the Folder. :D

I'm in for one of these when they are available! Outstanding work daniel!!
Thanks! Sounds great... I have two in all stonewashed ready and coming right up!

I love watching your work evolve. This one is absolutely awesome.
Thanks Chris, I really appreciate that and will continue to step it up!

D, I think the clack that we heard was the bar being raised another notch! Dang, you is killin' it homie!

Got the RF2 with the holes in the frame Monday. This is a very nice folder and is very sharp and workmanship is first class in every way. like the way you did the top of the blade for thumb placement. Thanks Daniel.
