As one who ends up lying down on the job
, in jeans, on the shop/garage floor or on the ground to work on equipment, I find the back pocket carry fails first with the watch pocket not far behind, with knives later found on the ground somewhere. Front pocket, belt carry, wallet and keys dig into to you where it's best to unload your EDC's, set them somewhere safe and where you won't forget them.
Other wise sitting in a chair, running a tractor, driving a car or truck, knives stay put in jean pockets.
IMO Pocket Clips act like a hook, that hook onto things and will pull your knife out of your pocket.
